Every since the android 11 update (im on at&t) most of the time when unlocking the screen using my fingerprint now some random app thats on my homescreen gets launched..this never happened before.. anyone else experience this?

It happens when I unlock the screen when notifications are already there the at&t will be there and block them. its not like it stays there but its annoying and now gone so im happy :)

The little AT&T thing shows up on the left side of my status bar and blocks my notifications. I've looked everywhere. Anyone know to get rid of this?

EDIT....misread i will check and see if mine does that

with at&t? i think its because it doesnt have the at&t stuff for wifi calling and video

hmmm you're probably right to be safe..i was under the understanding all snapdragons could use it but i could be wrong

1st phone ive had where im not worried bout it being locked especially since im able to flash the u1 firmware which gets rid of all the carrier bloat..i dont need wifi calling or video calling.

my edge lighting has the option to work with screen off or on or both..did you check that?

i really like it.. i like the phone and message app better.. i can set custom ringtones and text message notifications for each contact. the night mode is a god send!! i really havent had any issues with it so far.

your at&t phone came stock with CRL1? Mine was ARJA

You're using Odin3_v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD? Have you tried flashing back to stock at&t firmware?

I have an at&t 960u.. I used Odin3_v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD to flash to SM-N960U1UES1ARJ9 and booted up my phone. Installed the beta Samsing+ app which was com.samsung.oh_11.2.3.0.apk Then I launched it and signed up for the pie beta and reset and about 10min later the software download was...

This is awesome..not only did this get rid of all that at&t bloat crap but this pie has dark mode so i dont even need a theme!! woohoo

everything went fine for me..signed up for beta so just waiting for notification..thanks for everyone's help

im getting ready to flash SM-N960U1UES1ARJ9 on my locked AT&T..I assume you skipped USERDATA on Odin when you flashed?

ya i was really surprised this wasnt how it was by default..if im not looking at my phone when a notification comes through then how will i know? sure there is the led option but the edge lighting is much nicer and i normally have my phone with the screen faced up

Thank you for the clarification. I havent flashed since my 6P and its always easier when its unlocked. Do you have a link to the 960U1 you flashed on your at&t note 9? I have searched ARJ9 but there is quite a few different ones im finding. thanks again for your help

I also have the at&t 960u on at&t locked of course. So I just need to odin AT&T_N960USQU1ARJ7 firmware and then just put the update.zip on my sd card and all is well? im assuming U1 will work fine with at&t etc? i got this info from here...

Looks nice but seems complicated to install..Does it black out the notification bar? where like new text msgs and stuff show up?

im new to edge lighting so im not completely sure how it works. for me all it does is glow around the screen once i get the notification and thats it. so unless i see that i really have no way of knowing i have a notification still active.

I just got this phone for my wife and we got a cheap case at a small phone shop. The problem with the case is its hard to swipe the side of the screen on the left side because of the lip on the case. Do any of these have that issue?

I haven't installed the ROM yet but the way I understand it was at the time twrp couldn't decrypt data from nougat so you had no choice. The latest twrp shouldn't have this issue. Check the twrp topic under original dev section here. Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers mobile app

what no force encrypt kernel are you guys using on this to not lose encrypted data?

I don't think it supports any of that. If I plug it in it just switches to USB and I switch it back to BT. Just use it for charging. thanks for the heads up

On my new Jeep I have a USB plug that will charge my phone and will even try and play music. That part doesn't work but it does charge my phone. Ever since update if I plug my phone into my Jeep it will just reboot. It wasn't doing that before update. Any ideas?

Thank for this review. I dropped my Nexus 6P yesterday and broke the screen. Its usable but for a $200 fee to replace screen I'm thinking of getting this instead. This might be a silly question but I can use this phone while its being charged right? and will layer themes work with stock? TIA

This happens to me even on my Nexus. Haven't found a fix yet.

I searched and found a couple people with my issue and want to know if anyone found a fix. I couldn't find one but may have missed it. Intermittently when I turn my phone on and enter my passcode the screen just comes up black. It constantly does it and the only way for me to get passed it is...

This has been happening to me for awhile now. Doesn't seem to be a fix but luckily it doesn't happen very often.
