ive gotten it to work, without issue with my equipment. just baseless speculation here, but maybe it matters if you have the tablet learn a tap of the button vs holding down a button?

Post sd card for transfer only....

Regarding the "crippled" SD Card slot, as far as I can tell its only crippled with Sony apps. If you use any standard Android app the SD card slot is fully usable and accessible. I've got a 32 gig sd card in there and have no problem playing videos/music/open files directly off it. No speed...

Post [N2E] Nook 2nd Edition Touch - Root

I use moon reader with it, and the hard key page buttons do work. Why? My theory is that pressing the hard key buttons simply tricks android into thinking a particular corner of the screen has been tapped. I think this because A) Why would it work otherwise? and B). While using opera mini I...

Post Nook Touch Root Guide is OUT.

I've got mine running launcher pro. Opera Mini, root explorer, and the Amazon App Market work. Got button savior partially working (I use the soft key home button to get back to launcher pro, since the physical N button goes back to Barnes&Noble home screen); However I can't get apps to...

Post App to turn off device after X ammount of time idle

I am trying to get the same thing accomplished, and I don't think there is any app designed to do this (I've looked extensively). However there is an app called Tasker, which allows you to automate your phone(or tablet) based on a ton of different contexts/actions. I have Tasker set to run...

    Post [q] GENsoid

I'm also running CM7 + OC Kernel, and Gensoid works great for me. I'm on the latest nightly(25 I think), but haven't had trouble with any of them. I have only generic advise you've probably already thought of; try different genesis roms, clear your cache and dalvik cache, uninstall and...

Post Unresponsive touchscreen on CM7 nightly#13

To fix the touch screen issues try Dalgrin's OC kernel over in the development forum. He fixed some of the touch screen issues with it...maybe it would fix whatever problem you are having. You can run at stock speeds if you want of course, just go to Cyanogen settings>performance>cpu and set it...

    Post Audio Volume

You can run that kernel at stock speeds, the latest one doesnt oc by default, you need to use an app to make the actual oc occur(setcpu, the cm7 cpu config, others). It allows an oc, it doesnt force you to run at any speed. But seriously just oc that mf'r

Post Is using ADB the only way to get Ad-hoc working?

Yes, you can do it on your nook using certain apps. I've done it with Root Explorer(paid app), which allows you to alter/replace/change permissions on any system file. Other file manager type programs might be able do this too, maybe even some free ones, but the only one I can verify is root...

    Post [Q] SetCPU question..

Performance locks the cpu at the max frequency you set which is harder on the battery and potentially wears down the cpu itself a bit more. So i only run it when i run something extremely demanding...like psx4droid etc. For most purposes on demand is the best balance, since conservative will...

Post [Q] Power Amp for you Nook

The version currently in the market will not work. You need to google version 306 beta...which isnt on the official poweramp site for some reason. I would attach it to this post but im not sure if the version out there is cracked(since i bought it anyways) or leakd etc

Post Want to try to avoid 1.3.0 OTA? Modify build prop?

Still no update push or notification, unless the one random restart I had was infact it.After this sudden reboot nothing changed, I wasn't informed of any update, I'm still on 1.01 and still rooted. Guess either the build prop fix or the freezing of com.bn apps might be working?

Post Want to try to avoid 1.3.0 OTA? Modify build prop?

Perhaps there is some obvious reason why this wouldnt work but i will just throw it out there; wouldnt disabling/deleting all of the com.bn system apps prevent the thing from phoning home and or performing the update? I have all of the bn stock apps frozen via titanium backup...will let you know...

Does anybody have the B&N Shop APK handy? Long story short I broke mine and lost it(with Titanium Backup no less). Yes, I actually want to buy books from BN and need the apk back. Post [KERNEL] [GPL] Quickie - Flashable Overclock Kernel - "Screamer"

First, try going into clockwork, go to advanced settings and clear the dalvik cache. Then reboot. If that doesnt work, the first page on this thread has the stock kernel at 800mhz and there is also a 900mhz one. You can try flashing one of those over what you have now.

Update to my saga: pulled a log cat while I was frozen at the animated N "Color" screen, saw that launcherpro was having alot of errors I didn't understand. Post [KERNEL] [GPL] Quickie - Flashable Overclock Kernel - "Screamer"

FYI: if you have set SetCPU set to "performance", it will make the device always run at the top frequency. Maybe you want that, but it means that your nook is always running at 1ghz and never dipping below that. You have to set on-demand or conservative in order to have the cpu speed fluctuate.

Post psx4driid, ff7 and nook color

Dont play ff, but with other games on psx4droid ive noticed that earlier versions of the emulator are much faster. If you happen to have a backed up apk of a pre "v2" version it will run in general much faster....probably at the cost of compatibility and various features etc but ive had no problems

Post Getting internal memory recognized by non-BN apps?

not running froyo atm, will flash it when its able to run off system memory not sd card. good suggestion with mixzing, but it does not "see" the internal flash mem even when you try to specify specific folders in settings.

Thread Getting internal memory recognized by non-BN apps?

Post Surprised by great gaming performance

only reason im suprised it runs the "oid" emulators so well is because they run pitifully slow on my android phone running at 600mhz. naturally i concluded that the app required alot of juice to run properly. maybe its a software problem on my phone

    Post [Q] SD card

Yes, you can simply transfer the files from card to card. I do it all the time. You don't even need to employ titanium backup at all unless you are changing or reinstalling roms, or doing a factory reset and re-rooting. If you ARE doing that I would suggest doing the "Apps + Data" batch backup...
