Maybe I am late for this thread but the MW600 does have a MicroUSB port, it is a great product except for the gripes mentioned with the buttons.

Check that you have not installed any new apps that might take over the sound output. This has happened to me with IMO Messenger, I uninstalled it and everything went back to normal. It seems that some apps do not play well with the stereo's audio output.

Is it a Verizon phone? APN type editing is usually disabled because they want you to pay more for tethering. Try rooting the phone and accesing that screen through AnyCut or any similar app which allows you to edit those settings.

I lost root after the update and tried Z4Root with no results. SuperOneClick worked after I tried both root methods and rebooted the phone. I am using AntTek App Manager to remove bloat without any issue. The phone seems more responsive and I have not had any random reboot until now.
