Yep, was completely dead. Wouldn't boot into Fastboot, couldn't repair via PC Companion or anything which is why I'm surprised it's suddenly sprung back to life.
My device is completely stock. No root or boot loader unlock and has never had a repair.
I find it strange that after two months of being completely dead, it suddenly sprung back into life!
I've just posted my version of events regarding this:

Hi folks,
Just thought I'd share an experiance I've had this year with the above device.
Some of you probably saw I posted a help question relating to a sleep of death issue.
All of a sudden, after restarting the tablet, it wouldn't turn on. The reset button was useless as were the steps...
Sony hasn't added pen support to any of it's tablets. All flagship phones have it's strange when you consider that it would be more useful on a tablet than a phone.
My Z2 Tablet died a few weeks ago. Wasn't going to buy this but when the offer of 20% off appeared in the Xperia Lounge I jumped at the chance and purchased the 16gb WiFi.
Got it for £260 in the end with free postage. Considering Sony originally sold it for £329 and we're just a few months...
When you say perfectly, do you actually mean perfectly?
Did you do anything else other than turn Glove Mode on? Just tried this myself and it's far from perfect. Really have to push down on the screen with ES22 to get it to register an input and seven then it takes several attempts.
This just happened to my tablet this morning. Tried all options under the sun but can't get it to boot.
I can't even do a factory reset and I don't particularly want to return it under warranty.... :'(
Hi folks,
I'm using the tablet in conjunction with the above headset but more recently since updating to the latest firmware (which included DSEE X etc), the tablet will only recognise these as a microphone.
I'll try downgrading tomorrow but has anyone experienced the same thing?
When the...
For what it's worth, I'm also experiencing problems with this audio jack unique to the noise cancelling headset, the sound will only come from the left ear bud unless you wiggle the headphones inside the audio jack.
I know it's not the same issue you're experiencing but I defiantly think the 5...
Hi folks,
Has anyone noticed at the bottom right hand corner of their device, by the speaker grille the screen is lifting slighty?
I've only just noticed it today, I've had it submerged in water this morning, there are no air bubbles coming from the area neither has the device stopped...
I'm as much in the dark as your're I'm afraid, they weren't able to confirm any further details but did definitely confirm a successor to the Z Ultra would follow in October.
Perhaps they're refering to the Z3 Tablet Compact that might see UK release in October?
For what it's worth, I spoke to Orange yesterday as I'm currently in my free upgrade period. They acknowledged I was using an Xperia Z Ultra and advised me to hang back on an upgrade till October when a replacement Ultra would be released.
I was a little confused and mentioned he was most...
My contract is up in October and eligible for a free upgrade in August so a new Ultra would tie in nicely but I'm sceptical as to whether we'll see a successor. The original device was fantastic but I can only feel it missed the boat on so many aspects and with low shipping numbers I'd be...
Sony included the software tweak with the Z2 but not the Z2 Tablet, which is strange.
I contacted Sony who confirmed there is no ES22 support with no future plans to include it.
The most recent firmware for the LTE version (.55) has this as a changelog, so I assume we can expect these fixes in the latest release amongst others.
Improved camera performance & function with faster start time and better auto focus
Improved FM radio function
Graphics improvements...
Just received notification through PCC on my UK SGP311. Updated but no changes made. SUS and PCC now both report no update so not sure what's gone on there. Most frustrating.
I don't think anything is broken here guys.
At the time of release, I read somewhere that Sony intentionally only activated haptic feedback for certain UI elements, the keyboard wasn't one of them. I'm sure it was in manual.
Anyone elses loud speaker at the bottom of the device no longer working?
I tried a reformat and it started working again, but shortly after, nothing! No music, ringtone or anything.
Same thing happened on my Xperia T but seemed to rectify itself.
I noticed a while ago that at the top right side of my screen, when there's something white showing on the screen like a web page,I have two white blobs which show when the screen is at an angle.
Aren't dead pixels, anyone else have this?
Played music from Music Unlimited in Offline Mode for 5 1/2 hours continuously yesterday, battery dropped to 96% from 100%. Quite impressed.
Battery went down 1% overnight in Stamina Mode.
Anyone else had the waterproof rubber seal on the USB port detach itself?
Mine come off, perhaps from the constant use of the USB but in two minds about whether to send it off for repair or not.
There weren't any headphones in the box. I ordered the Noise Cancelling headphones from Handtec but they didn't show today as expected so it'll be Monday.
Felimenta97 Not at a PC currently, but I don't see why it would differ from the leaked Z2 dump.
I just did a Google search for the word "Google" - the Z2 doesn't stutter, even when the images are loading or haven't fully loaded.
The Z stuttered only when the images where loading. When all images where loaded, both devices where smooth
The Z2 definably has the upper hand.
As another...
There's an issue with the Xperia Live Wallpaper. With it active, the homescreen micro lags, but then again, it also happens on my Z Ultra so evidently a wallpaper issue.
With a static wallpaper there is a noticeable difference in the operation of the device. Pinch to zoom in Chrome is perfect...
Fast. Light. Slim. Fantastic screen and stereo speakers.
I thought the original tablet couldn't get much better, but it did!
Just waiting for my noise cancelling headset to arrive this morning so I can test it at work today!
You should be able to cancel your order. if you can, you could re-order the device. The estimated delivery date is still March 24th - 25th.
I feel so lonely. Know one else seems to have one here lol
Have a look at Xperia Blog. They've put out a post about the release.
