    My camera button doesn't open the camera app. I know that in stock android there may not be this option, but shouldn't this ROM have it in built since all Xperia z2 devices have a camera button? Does anyone know how I can add this functionality myself?

    Do you (or anyone else) know when a stable version will be released? Also, my camera works fine from the camera app. After a long time of "starting up..." It loads for a second and the camera freezes showing a frozen image of me looking at the screen.

    You can try to root with KingRoot Download apk and click the root button. Thats all for rooting. Once you are rooted you can install twrp with the TWRP Manager App which you can get from the Google Play Store
