This right here is the answer and the route I ended up taking. Pull the entire contents of your internal storage before doing this.

So I ended up doing a factory flash to Oreo... I thought about it, and the last time I ran a stock rom was back when Motorola's Droid X was hot ****, so I felt like I'll see how it runs just for the sake of seeing a stock rom in action. Bootloader remaining unlocked though ;)

Appreciate the instructions; I might give that a shot, but last night I was so frustrated (not at this ROM, at the device in general), I just did a stock flash and took the OTA update. Gonna play around with stock to see how it feels as I haven't been on a stock ROM since my first android...

Unfortunately no go; it errors at the Red warning, and freezes at the Google padlock screen now, after flashing boot.img from SXE after flashing Franco r59. Don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but system is also reverting itself to ext4 from f2fs.

Clean flashed, can't get out of either a bootloop (after install) or Google logo freeze (after attempting boot.img restore), it just won't boot no matter what. Followed instructions, made sure to change option in TWRP not to format since I'm coming from f2fs. Flashed Franco r59 afterwards...

Yea unfortunately this is same/similar results from my previous two clean flashes. Man, this damn device. Started freezing presumably out of nowhere. Maps freeze, Facebook freezes, media players freeze. It'll display the force close message, and after I force close the app(s), the wallpaper resets to "stock" -_- Took my Gnex out of storage, and while it's a slower phone...

Got mine December 2015 and after just having Ubreakifix replace my battery, phone is unfortunately still super sluggish. Massive lag when plugging into power and attempting to use maps, bluetooth is still a humongous pile of garbage, and it's just not performing well. Really crossing fingers...

So I started noticing an incredibly odd bluetooth issue (on top of the cutouts) that I'm wondering if anyone else had noticed. I can attest to the fact that the battery is absolute garbage. My phone is approximately 16-17 months old now, health has degraded to 60%, and it seems like the battery, or something else, may be the culprit for all my other issues. Can't seem to find a solid answer; is Arise or any other mod able to unlock hi-res support for the Nexus 6P or is that a hardware limitation? Or am I asking the dumbest question in the universe? After listening to 192k FLACs all weekend, it's brutal to see 48k output on the phone.
