This may have been answered earlier, and I just missed it: does this ODIN back to NK1/NJ6 from OF1 preserve root? If so, then I may jump back to KK, as LP has a few... features... which I don't prefer.

I third this. FoxFi works on my Note 3 running 4.4.4, non-rooted. And yes, davekaz is right about the time limitation. Without a license, FoxFi turns off hotspot after five minutes. With license, the time limitation is removed.

If my understanding is correct, Edgargonzalez89, the only caveat in that plan is that 4.4.2 has been blacklisted, and therefore any downgrade attempt to 4.4.2 -- from any Android version greater than 4.4.2 -- will fail in Odin. If it weren't for the blacklist, then you're plan would be golden...

I hope it is true! So far, all the instances of rooting a Note 3 on 4.4.4 that I have been able to find, have been limited to the AT&T Note 3's only (something about broadband firmware, I think). But if you find something specifically for Verizon, Timberhawk, you would have a threadful of Note...

As for me, I'll give up hope on rooting Lollipop... ...once my KitKat is rooted. ;)
