    Post ★ [ROM/ROOT][N900VVRUCNC2][4.4.2] Stock Root Odex/DeOdex [04/23/14]★

For the record I did it before without any issue at all. Don't think it matters. Just only the newer one will work after.

Can confirm this does work. Once signed up for Serve, took about 5 minutes for the card to fully activate on ISIS and about 5 minutes after that, boom $50. Awesome. Thanks, OP. :good:

Post SanDisk Extreme Plus 64 GB microSDXC $64.99 (Amazon Prime) Will Not Last!!!

I see things like this a bunch and it puzzles me, I've been using Sandisk cards for what feels like forever and I've never had problems with them and Samsung phones, and that's 4 different models, maybe I'm just lucky or something. Can't say I agree entirely. I definitely noticed improvements...

Post Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Set to Receive an Update

Verizon isn't removing Band 4 and it has nothing to do with pricing, there are no other costs, it's merely added bandwidth capacity. Enabling Band 4 in the service menu lets it the phone search for and connect to it like it does anything else. Forcing it, which can be done following the same...

Post Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Set to Receive an Update

I am more than aware and did so weeks ago. I have 4 or 5 posts in the AWS thread if you ever read it, hence my emphasis on officially. The question was if this finally makes it by default for the masses an AWS LTE capable device. Also some people claim it only works when they force it, even when...

    Post AWS availability, LTE speedtest

Philly has had band 4 VZ LTE for a little while now, it's worked at least ever since the GS4 had it unlocked a few weeks ago anyway, however unlike NYC at 20 it only seems to be 10Mhz channel here. Best I can seem to do on it is 26/18 on the Note 3. It certainly works best outdoors where I can...

Post Key Notes for Verizon Galaxy S4 (AWS LTE) on T-Mobile's Network

Couple of things. Remember as I started with the baseband in i545 when on LTE really wants to use CDMA as the default so when it's searching it's not going to obtain GSM as instantaneous As it otherwise would. Don't see any specific way of that getting patched ever as we're going against the...

Post Key Notes for Verizon Galaxy S4 (AWS LTE) on T-Mobile's Network

Use this app, hit Device Information, and change the dropdown to LTE/GSM (auto PRL). Given the simplicity not sure you need much more of a walk through than that. A video would require a bunch of editing to blot out IMEI and phone #s.

Post SCH-I545 Working on T-Mobile LTE Network

Pretty sure they are signed differently so I don't think you can in the first place, and even still different frequencies despite same hardware so in your words fail miserably. The fact that it works in stock fine means it's not a baseband issue just a SIM provisioning piece that's missing in...

Post SCH-I545 Working on T-Mobile LTE Network

Theoretically it should be GSM/WCDMA /LTE... however I've only gotten LTE Data in the AOSP roms I tried, but I haven't tried extensively. You can also get to the standard testing app via the *#*#4636#*#* for the LTE/GSM (AUTO PRL) but both are the same really

Post SCH-I545 Working on T-Mobile LTE Network

Unfortunately I some how missed this thread when I started mine on this topic. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2518347 In short you need to go into the testing menu and change the dropdown to LTE/GSM (auto PRL) which is not an option in the TW UI. The baseband on i545 assumes...

Post Galaxy Note (Verizon) Developer Edition - Photos & More

That makes sense on a personal level, but realistically the number of people doing that is statistically insignificant. I have a hard time believing anyone's 'developer edition' device has sold much more than a rounding error.

Post Galaxy Note (Verizon) Developer Edition - Photos & More

How exactly? A Note 3 sale is a sale, it's the same device. It costs them pennies practically in extra work. They don't care from that end. It's whatever their contract is with Verizon that matters.

Thread Key Notes for Verizon Galaxy S4 (AWS LTE) on T-Mobile's Network

After happily using my 'old' S4 on T-Mobile with HSPA+ since having the Note 3 as my primary line, I was naturally excited to update the baseband and unlock Band 4 LTE. However I noticed some caveats which I've now solved which will undoubtedly confuse everyone at some point. Assuming you've...

Post [ROM][Official][4.3] CyanogenMod 10.2 for the Verizon Galaxy S4

Has anyone used the S4 on CM 10.2 with a non-Verizon SIM (aka TMO)? Long shot I know... It picks up the TMO APN correctly and flies on TMO LTE (yay band 4), but it still has my phone # as unknown and won't text so I'm feeling like it's not really activated properly.

    Post New update JSS15J.N900VVRUMBMJ7

I've confirmed it twice that it's not in the update, as we have both Tmo and VZ LTE in Band 4 here. VZ speeds stayed the same post update and my TMO Sim will only go to H+ vs my VZ-GS4 which goes up to LTE on the TMO SIM.

Come on folks, obviously the new Google apps are making use of the API's in 4.4 that aren't going to work properly on 4.3. This is the reason even something like Maps has different current versions floating around depending what you're running. There's going to be bugs just side loading this...

Post [OFFICIAL] AWS thread - where, how fast

That's because forcing an LTE band switches the phone to LTE only mode. When you're done playing you have to go back to LTE/GSM/CDMA (auto PRL) or you will end up with data only.

You don't need to go that far. There definitely are still issues with Google Wifi Network Location, but turning them all off means nothing gets even a general location and that gets annoying too.
