It resets on 5.1. It stays on 5.0.*. That setting allows you to unlock. Seems several people are being "relocked" after loading 5.1. Idk what this means yet.

Update: Flashed back to 5.0.1 factory and the Allow OEM unlock is persistent through reboots. 5.1 did not for me. Can someone on 5.1 reboot and see if allow stay on for them? I'm wondering if this is the reason people are losing access to flash in fastboot. Maybe a bug...

I factory img flashed to 5.0.1 and sideloaded 5.1 to run completely stock. I enabled Allow OEM Unlock in developer options even though i'm unlocked, out of paranoia seeing what other people are running into. Now the questions... Any one else that has updated, is Allow OEM Unlock staying...

The bloatware will be tied to the SIM card from what i'm reading. Once the phone launches, us who have Moto store/GPE N6, will have the bloat downloaded from play store on initial set up. Keep in mind that the stuff that is downloaded is uninstallable. It's user apps, not system.

Agree with the guy above me. Same thing happened to me on my Nexus 9. Manual flashes all successful but could not boot. Booted into recovery and did a factory wipe and all was well. I know this is the nexus 6, but it sounds like corrupted data.

If you haven't figured it out yet, edit your account on verizonwireless.com and take off basic visual voicemail. Repleace it with basic voicemail, or something of the sort. No VVM for us! You can use Google Voice for that though.

It was due to the spectrum sale they took part in. One of the stipulations was they couldn't reject a compatible device. I'm sure VZ will end up fighting what the term "compatible" means. My N6 purchased from Moto works flawlessly on VZ though.

If you're on wifi you can still use data, but currently can't do call and LTE on Verizon simultaneous with this phone. Rumors of the phone being released on VZ in Feb with 5.1 update and VoLTE in tow, but i'll believe it when i see it.

Sorry, guess i wasn't clear. I activated on the LG G3 on the nano sim(in adapter) over the phone. Store couldn't do it. Then i popped the sims in my nexus 6 and worked like i charm. I did not try activating straight from N6.

I cant recall a nexus ive owned (galaxy, n7, n9) having that. I use hd widgerts. Beautiful widgets also seems to be popular. Generally skinned androids have it.

If their past is indicative of this release, older devices like Note 10.1 and S3 will be the last devices to receive it. I expect my note 3 on verizon to get it months before my note 10.1 if that shows you how soon I think we'll have it. :laugh:

I, too, was getting the connection unstable after i factory reset my router on both 2.4 and 5ghz. Upon checking my router settings, i found i hadn't changed 2.4 and 5 from 20MHz bandwidth to 20/40MHz that i normally use. I haven't gotten the unstable issue since.

Then it is formated and showing correctly. On that same page it should tell you how much free space you have. My suggestion is to hook it up to your pc, highlight all the folders on the SD Card and click properties. Might have more there than you think. Its possible you have some backups going...

Go to settings / storage, then tell us what it says the TOTAL SPACE is for your SD Card. That'll give us a better idea of whats going on and possibly help you. It's possible your card is only formatted to 32gb due to it possibly being in fat32 and its a bit more of a challenge to format it to...

I was under the impression that the only data wipe was when people are Odin-ing the update, rather than accepting an OTA. On the past androids i had (incredible, thunderbolt, galaxy nexus, s3, note 10.1, nexus 7) i haven't had an update that wiped data from an OTA.

Thats not entirely true. My local best buy has yet to have ANY case in. As far as my Verizon, they have 2 incipio cases and one cheap hard case.

Not sure thats the issue. I don't have both icons up when on wifi and i purposely opened/am running that app. If it's running off 4g data, it can run off wifi.
