Thread Slow charging with OEM charger

Just got my Nexus 5X today. I realize that Quick Charge 2.0 chargers won't work properly with the device but I'm seeing very slow charging speeds using the charger and cable that came with the device. From 10%, my phone took 15 minutes to charge another 7% and says it will take almost 2 hours...

    Thread Janky scrolling

Got my phone on Friday and got it all set up. Noticed on Saturday that my scrolling is stuttering; animations seem to be laggy, and overall the phone feels slightly sluggish. Any ideas? My Nexus 6 is buttery smooth and that's what I was expecting with this phone too.

Thread Carbon fiber-look (3M DI-NOC) on my Note II

I'm one of those people who hated the Verizon branding on the Note II. I've done this mod on most of my recent phones. It's very simple and involves some 3M DI-NOC carbon-fiber looking vinyl and careful trimming (and a hair dryer for the corners). I hand-cut the button and the rear cover. I...

Thread [Q] Verizon Galaxy Nexus stuck roaming

Several days ago, my Verizon Galaxy Nexus began showing an "R" in the signal area, and "Roaming" in the pulldown. Sure enough, it shows that I'm roaming in the about phone information. The strange thing is that I'm still getting 4G speeds, but my phone is no longer seeing 3G at all, and any...

    Thread ProClip Car Mount (video)

I just received my ProClip powered car mount for my Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I've seen a lot of questions about whether it fits with the extended battery, a case, etc. Yes to the extended battery and no to a case. I love it just the same. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gFh6bDxMJY

Thread Carbon fiber-look back for GN

I found the back of my Galaxy Nexus to be a little too slippery, and I had a spare piece of 3M carbon fiber material laying around. I decided to go ahead and cut it to fit my GN. No worries about that darn Verizon Wireless logo on the back now :-) I got the material from this guy...

Thread Any way to enable Quick Controls in browser?

My Transformer had a labs option in the browser to enable quick controls but my Tab is missing the option. Is there a way to enable that? I loved that feature.

    Thread [Q] Stuck on UMTS?

I just got my NS a few days ago, and I'm using it on T-Mo. I've noticed it's on UMTS 95% of the time even though I'm in a HSDPA area which is blanketed in HSPA+. There is a difference in speed so I'd like to figure out why it's not connecting to HSDPA. Anyone else noticing this? I called T-Mo...

Thread Mapping back button to OK key?

I've been trying to map the back button (delete key) on my hardware keyboard to my OK key so that I can navigate one-handed in PIE using my scroll wheel and my OK key. I'm using AE Button Plus, and I'm trying to use VJkeypress to map the virtual keypress for this event. However, the virtual key...

Thread Brodit Active Car Mount-modded with audio/charging

Here's the short tutorial on how to modify a Brodit/Proclips active car mount to work with an HTC y-cable. This allows you to slide your Kaiser into the device holder, and have audio out capabilities while charging. First, you need to use a knife to separate the top plate from the charging...

    Thread CDMA TyTN leaked

http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2006/12/22/verizon-utstarcom-xv6800-the-cdma-tytn-lives/ Interesting that it has double the flash ram. It seems that AKU3 will be a possibility for the GSM TyTN at some point. I'm not interested in switching to Verizon and the new features aren't enough to make...

    Thread Power/Audio adapter?

I'm planning to buy a TyTn when it's released on Cingular, and the one big concern for me is the proprietary connector for charging/audio. I use my phone to play MP3s and such on my car stereo, and I have yet to find an audio adapter that will allow me to simultaneously charge my phone. Is...
