Yeah... MHL works that way... But the OP says it's also an "OTG hub off ebay" .... So were not just talking about a straight MHL adapter... If it's an OTG hub triggering OTG mode on the tablet... Then it won't charge and it's not suppposed to.

Actually... That's normal... An otg adapter puts your device into "power output" mode so it can power a flashdrive or other storage device... So the input/charging mode gets turned off. Plugging your charger into the hub helps power the external devices so they don't kill your battery so quickly...

We only have 2K screen... 2560x1600... if you download your videos in 2560x1440 they work flawless... 4K video will give you stutter no matter which player you use on this device... I've tried a bunch of them.

If you are using a rom that accepts a bootanimation.zip file... just download JRummy's ROM Toolbox app from the playstore.... It has the function to inject a bootanimation.zip in the proper directory and change the permissions for you... and it has a bazillion bootanimations to choose from...

I use an OTG hub like this one... And a Toshiba DTD210 1tb hard drive ... The OTG hub allows you to power the hard drive from an external source (such as the samsung charger that comes with the tablet) so you don't risk overdriving the output on the tablets micro usb port... You can format...

I don't worry about it at all... I'm rooted and my updates are disabled anyway so I don't feel any obligation to take an update just because it's out there... I've been doing this way to long to fall for the hype and don't mind skipping until something reasonable is released.

The plastics used in todays Samsung devices have many more benefits than drawbacks... leather would have been impractical if not impossible so that's a non-issue... aluminum blocks and distorts signal and dents very easily on a drop... plastics keep the cost down when...

Did that one.. Still doesn't change camera sound... Only screenshot... I looked in the camera app and it has it's own audio files so I figured ui/camera sounds must be there for another reason.

If you go to... system/media/audio/ui ... There are a bunch of .ogg files in there dealing with system sounds... There was somebody who uploaded a bunch of zips full of usable .ogg files taken from video games awhile back (anybody remember where that was?) Anyway I still have the original zips...

Real world testing of the ultra line 32's and 64's in the Note 3 shows about half those speeds so I would imagine these 128GB cards will fall in line with that performance.

True dat... I use the 128GB with adapter and it works fine... 100% sure the micro will be the same...

Par for the course.... I remember paying 200 when the 32's first hit ... and then again when the 64's came out... so I thought this would be a bit worse honestly. Looks like they're only available in the ultra line... which makes it a max of 30MB/s read and quite a bit slower on the write...
