The other thing I would do is before you go into GPS Status, go into Applications and Maps and clear data and cache. That step helped me once or twice when just using GPS Status didn't seem to work. With this I honestly can't believe how accurate and fast the GPS lock is now.

For what it is worth, if BAMF GB becomes stable enough to be a daily driver, then I would head in that direction. I would hate for you to try to maintain two versions. If you decide to move to GB development, and I end up going back to Froyo Remix and there is no further development there...

I noticed after a day or two that the windmill which is the one I like better has been freezing. Sometimes it starts up on its own but normally I have to change to another live wallpaper then back to get it to restart. This is on the Thunderbolt running BAMF Remix.

Looks really cool but I noticed that it indicates there is a battery and performance impact. Perhaps if it didn't take into account the orientation of the phone and slosh around the liquid the impact would be less.

Related to #1 above, are you on your local network when in your house? Is it possible that location services has associated your wifi network with the wrong location?

So far for me it seems a bit better on both locking in a GPS signal as well as battery life. But...... I also flashed BAMF 1.5 for the first time, so a lot of the battery performance may be related to that rom.

I tried the same thing, works great in rooted Eclair but not in any of the CM7 versions. I think it is because there is no DSP working in CM7, but I could be wrong.
