Not for flashing... Some apps can only be used in a rooted phone. So my purpose is only to use these apps, not for flashing the phone with other ROMs

I've installed the Compass v2.0 in my p500, and it behaves like a "rusty" compass. The needle does not move smoothly. The same happens in the Layar app. Is this behavior normal, because of the low compass quality, or should I go to my reseller for waranty? Thx
