That same question occurred to me and I almost tried it, but concern over possibly hard bricking a phone I've had for only two months made me think twice.

I'm extremely interested as I recently lost Magisk root on my e6. And that's after faithfully rebooting only to recovery and avoiding OTAs at all costs. And I'm sure I'm not alone, I'd be grateful for any info toward a solution. Thanks for your efforts so far!
