First of all, remove the quote of the first post from your reply. Second, R1/R1 Plus firmware are not missing, they just don't exist on Sony's public servers.

I'm not able to reproduce that... what specific firmware? Also try disabling your anti-virus, it might be interfering.

You might wanna be more specific on what you're trying to unpack.

Post [TOOL] XperiFirm ~ Xperia Firmware Downloader [v5.4.0]

v5.5.0 [October 11, 2020]: - NEW: Code refactored to adapt to new API that doesn't use CDAs and firmware revisions (i.e. R1A), which is used for Xperia 5 II and later. - NEW: Available firmware versions are loaded along with the customizations (formerly CDFs) list. NOTES: * Due to heavy code...

Post [TOOL] XperiFirm ~ Xperia Firmware Downloader [v5.4.0]

Nothing interesting to see there, basically CDAs have been phased out, they are no longer used starting with Xperia 5 II. So had to refactor a significant portion of the code to adapt, it's already in a working state. Will see if I can get OTA updates compatible with the new structure, then test...

Post [TOOL] XperiFirm ~ Xperia Firmware Downloader [v5.4.0]

Sadly, Sony has introduced structural changes to their API starting with Xperia 5 II. XperiFirm will have to be updated once I study the API.

Post [TOOL] XperiFirm ~ Xperia Firmware Downloader [v5.4.0]

Why wouldn't it unpack? Did you disable automatic unpacking in settings? Like I said, I don't know what you can flash and what you cannot. You can merge them manually if you know what you're doing.
  10. IgorEisberg

Post [TOOL] XperiFirm ~ Xperia Firmware Downloader [v5.4.0]

No idea. I don't know much about Xperia flashing anymore. As for the update.xml, it's automatically merged to one update.xml by XperiFirm when unpacking.

If it's not in the program then it's not available. It's quite obvious.

Huh? The latest ROM version for C6603 is 10.7.A.0.228 (for both Customized NCB and Telenor SE). I already told you, the generic ROM for your region is Customized NCB, I'm not even sure what you mean by "according to xperifirm the telenor one is much more up to date", when both versions as they...

Post [TOOL] XperiFirm ~ Xperia Firmware Downloader [v5.4.0]

What "z"? Xperia Z? The one from 2013? There are no updates for it... No, Telenor SE is not a generic ROM. Generic ROMs for Sweden (and other Nordic countries are called Customized NCB/NOBA (Nordic Combined).
  15. IgorEisberg

Post [TOOL] XperiFirm ~ Xperia Firmware Downloader [v5.4.0]

There's nothing to "redo". The firmware are downloaded directly from Sony servers, not any third-party storage.

It will work as a system app though. If you prefer to install it as a normal APK, this is only possible by resigning the app with a test key. (not secure) You can now find such APK in my Google Drive folder...

Post [APP][CM/AOSP][UPDATE 26.02.2018][NO ROOT]Latest Xperia App for non stock ROM

No. Just added checks for a Xperia-specific class for media store, so that it skips certain Xperia-dependent database queries for non-Xperia ROMs, but would still work as if nothing was changed on an Xperia ROM, and tweaked queries that are not supported on Android 10. Very few changes, really...

OK, cool. Here are 2 APKs: Album_9.8.A.0.8.apk - To be installed as a normal APK. The AndroidManifest was edited to allow it to be installed on devices without com.sony.device.jar, hence It had to be resigned with a test key. (less secure) Album_9.8.A.0.8_ROM.apk - To be used as-is on custom...

Don't know... there should be more region-specific APNs included, but that's if you compare UK to a firmware of another region.

I never said XperiFirm had anything to do with Emma, which is only useful for unlocked devices. Post [APP][CM/AOSP][UPDATE 26.02.2018][NO ROOT]Latest Xperia App for non stock ROM

Sigh... this has nothing to do with Album force-closing... I said that you "can install about any Sony app there is (even though not guaranteed to work correctly)." Without com.sony.device.jar you won't be even able to install an app that's intended for Xperia devices, without patching...

Ah yes, forgot I was using com.sony.device.jar on my Xiaomi device. Anyways, people don't really need APKs with patched AndroidManifest.xml. All they need is system/framework/com.sony.device.jar and system/etc/permissions/com.sony.device.xml flashed to any device, and they can install about any...

No, and that solution won't be enough in the case of the latest APKs. There are some issues that I'm not sure why they happen or how to resolve them, related to database queries. Example: IllegalArgumentException: Invalid column '1000' AS somc_content_type_id This error happens on Android 10...

Some CDA's have full .107 firmware, some have the full .49 and the .107 comes as an OTA update only, at least for now. If something changes, means Sony changed it, as it loads the CDA and firmware lists in real-time. Yeah, although I'm not aware of any public way to flash these yet...

Leave the unpacking enabled. The file should be named something like "boot_X-FLASH-ALL-A2CD.sin", at least for Xperia 5. Not sure which device you're talking about.

Yes, the CDA lists are complete, they are loaded in real-time directly from Sony's servers. The only thing I have to add manually are new devices/models, along with their thumbnails. Sadly, that's not possible. Those Walkman players are nowhere to be found on their public firmware servers...

It's a .NET Framework app, it's not CPU dependent. It's up to your .NET runtime to match your platform.
