How did you track it down to be location service? I had nexus 5 before sgs6 too but I can't remember that there was this severe data usage from Google Services on Lollipop nor Marshmallow.

Holy sh*t Google Services is using data sooo much. Not that bad hit to battery after all but without Google f**king things up like this it would be better. I can't understand what exactly uses that data. I had sync off most of the day, all location services off, wifi scanning off, pretty much...

Due to data usage bug on mobiledata it seems to be good idea to use as much wifi as possible. There's significantly less battery drain when I'm using wifi. Hopefully samsung will bring fix to this with android 6 update.

I've had my S6 for couple days now and running stock android 5.1.1. Pretty impressed with the overall battery performance. The concern is not wakelocks but data usage is pretty weird here. Google Play Services uses almost 2hrs data during 7hrs nighttime. Facebook does pretty much the same but...

My point is now that I have twrp on fota partition will the sony stock stuff interfere the flashing process?

Does anyone know what happens if I would like to try and install a modified stock ROM using TWRP from this recovery? I know these recoveries get installed on "fota" partition and stock ROM uses it for updating purposes (as I've heard). So will this whole thing work out or will the flashing...

I have the same issue. But what's interesting here is that unlike the first post's writer told I have it on nexus 5 running android 5.1.1. Currently using MX player and videos work just fine.

How's the touchscreen on latest nightlies? I've been on stock now for couple weeks but I miss already cm and video playback errors and issues on chrome and facebook app are making me to change back to cm as soon as I get my hands on to computer.

Not much (or any) CAF custom kernels out there so just clean install or some other ROM. Some wakelock detector could be also usefull if you wanna find out what keeps your device awake/consumes battery.

Someone else facing touchscreen problems with 04/11 release? After a while at deep sleep touchscreen just stops responding. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with updated screen drivers... Now going to downgrade to 04/10 and see if that fixes it

Did you figure the problem out with CAF? Afaik there was some problem with 19/03 nightly's setup wizard, I was neither able to start with that so I downloaded 16/03 and it went smoothly.

Is someone else having problems with systemupdateservice wakelocks? I had it once and did clean flash and now after some days it's here again. It's continious wakelock, reboot doesn't help, only factory reset. Google has somehow ****ed things up again....

I had the same wakelock on my xperia tablet as well. Clean install with basket build gapps and now it's gone.

I have assumed that these builds are basically the same as official cm builds. According to the second post these builds have as well that s**tty cm recovery on the boot.img so I don't see the reason why you get different recoveries booted randomly.

It didn't get overwritten. After I had updated one nighlty using cm updater I even did one clean flash (due to random wakelocks I got) and twrp booted from advanced boot menu correctly. Shouldn't this be normal behaviour? It's kinda weird tho to have one recovery on the FOTA partition and other...

I was finally able to unlock the bootloader and throw some custom stuff on my tab but... It didn't kinda go the way I thought first :D As a sonynoob I wanted to just install cm first with the instructions from their wiki, well the cm recovery I first installed sucked really bad. I have no idea...

I just updated from .314 to .167 and I didn't lose root. Tb and all other root apps still working fine. I have PRO version of SuperSU. Edit:I didin't even have PRO version of SuperSU.. Root still working

Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59156859 It is separate recovery. You should be able to fastboot flash that with cm. So the recovery is NOT built in to the ROM.

Thanks for the links! I think it's very smart and usefull way to use useless partition. Anyway it's very retard decision from Sony to intergrate boot and recovery to same partition. They should learn from nexus and keep those separate.

Same here. I tried to download 1/25 nightly from download.cyanogenmod.org but it seems that their servers are running slow or overloaded so I was unable to download that. Maybe that's why updater can't find any updates..
