    Post XT1710-01 Root Guide?

I did but they involve disabling encryption, which means having to wipe data everytime an update rolls around. For those that see this in the future, I followed this guide, but used Magisk 13.3 and have working root, without having to wipe my data (bootloader already unlocked)...

    Thread XT1710-01 Root Guide?

New to the Moto Z2 play, moved to this from a Z2 force on Verizon after the shattershield started peeling. Anyway, there seems to be a lot of conflicting information here, and i'm struggling to actually nail down the process for root. My bootloader is already unlocked, however between several...

Thread Post 8.0 Update Dialer Issues

So i got my update two days ago, on VZW. Ever since, everytime i recieve a phone call, it will not show the contact name, just the phone number. I've cleared cache and data for every app possibly related, (all three phone apps and services, messenger, contacts, contacts storage, etc.). I'm kind...

    Thread Is there any hope?

I just received a replacement device today, unfortunately it's already on lollipop. Coming from a turbo rooted with mofo I feel crippled. Is there any hope in the near future of an unlock or a new mofo release? Can't seem to find much info that's not older than a month.

Thread New to the Turbo Family

Hi all! Just picked up a turbo still on 4.4.4, should be here in a few days. No real experience with moto devices that're locked down, I had a moto x dev edition before my nexus 6 (will be switching between the two) and am not entirely sure on the process used to gain root. I've heard...

    Post [ROM] [M] JDX 4.0 [10/6/2015][shamu] [MRA58K]

Get it running as your primary rom, then either copy it to a secondary and re-flash something that can use a multirom kernel as a primary, or swap it with a secondary rom with a multi-rom kernel.

    Post [ROM] [M] JDX 4.0 [10/6/2015][shamu] [MRA58K]

To get this to work on multirom, install as your primary (copy your current primary to secondary if you want to save it)and let it boot to make sure everything works, and then swap it with a secondary rom. Installing as a secondary right off the bat will wipe your primary rom.

    Post Flashing Kk over lollipop

Yes, if you're using TWRP then to perform a factory reset you'd go to wipe and then slide the factory reset slider. Make sure to make a nandroid next time! To restore to complete stock youll need to either need to do it manually through fastboot, or use motorola's flashing utility called RSD...

    Post Flashing Kk over lollipop

You should be able to run a factory reset an then flash kryptonite just fine. If youre still having issues, I'd restore a nandroid if you have one, if not rsd to stock. What error did it give you?

    Post Moto X Battery Replacement

It's the NFC antenna, be careful not to unplug it if you don't have to, and if you do make sure it's connected well afterwards. The adhesive is fairly strong so you should be good for tranferring it to the new battery, but be gentle removing it as not to tear the antenna

    Post Wierd TWRP Error

That error is caused by the version of TWRP you are using. Something about different versions and different updater scripts. Some have had sucess with 2.8.1, some with 2.6.3.1 and some with 2.7.1.1. You will need to try all three until you find the one that works for you. Do not touch the power...

    Post Wierd TWRP Error

The first error or the second? I've narrowed the first down to a missing file in my data folder. Unfortunately rsd'ing doesn't help. If anyone'd be willing to upload it for me that'd be awesome. It's the bin file in /data/power_supply_logger/

I'd double check it's still plugged in, it's really sensitive, I've accidentally unplugged mine SO many times, however I do have to mention, there's no adhesive on mine as it's a replacement, the first time I removed the back the flat part came up in two pieces

Post Replacement Back Covers Now Available

Well, if your antenna is still in one piece, you need to remove the plastic toward the bottom of the phone (toward the micro usb port) with a t3 security torx screwdriver, and plug it back in. Unfortunately the first time I dissassembled mine, my antenna came up in two pieces, so I had to buy a...

Ok, so, figured i'd put these both in one thread. One: Most of the time when i plug my phone into it's dock, it shuts off immediately, no clue why, has happened on 4.4, 4.4.2, and eclipse 3.0-3.2.2 no biggie, but kind of annoying Two: This one is a bit more of a pain, whenever i go to use...

Post 8 Months Later, is it still worth it?

For me, absolutely. I went as far as to buy a second Dev edition in case I ever break mine. If you're a power user, it might not be for you because of the dual core or lower clock speed. Also if you're a bit of a flashaholic, not much development going on. However most of us who own the device...

    Post Ota question.

Also, if you really want 4.4.2, there is a zip in the android development section with an unofficial sbf. Be very careful with what files you flash, i flashed the zip in RSD lite blindly (my mistake) and spend four hours trying to figure out why i didn't have data or any mobile connection...
