The method still uses sdcard as a buffer. I would very much like a method to do a nandroid backup when there is not enough space left on sdcard. Maybe using mkfifo on android side and reading the named pipe with adb pull ? I don't know android much, I don't know if that's possible.

I would use adb shell to wipe userdata. ( I don't remember the syntax, wipe without arguments should help )

I'm thinking this because I installed an OTA update 2 days ago and it looked like the phone did the installation on recovery mode. But since it is possible do go back to previous recovery, it's not really a problem.

My wording lacks precision, english is not my first language. I meant a nandroid backup. Performing twrp backup using usb cable to write files on the computer.

If you want to solve this, you have to exercise. Or you can lie to your watch and check "sport mode" anyway. Since I have done it (the second one) this morning, I receive notifications immediately. Soon I will see the impact on battery.

You didn't told me if its an install on 20140513 firmware or if it's an upgrade from previous firmware. I understand you agree there is a problem with twrp 2.7.1.0 on newer devices.

I can only rely on testimonies on this very forum, but I have not seen a single person succesfully installed twrp on firmware 20140513. I have seen successfull install on previous firmware, and then OTA upgrade. What is it for you ?

Install last firmware known to be working with twrp. Did that. The device doesn't boot anymore. Revert to previous backup. Did that. I like to see things by myself.

I blew my own recovery before I did any backup, but Omate_TrueSmart_20140513.103530_V2.0.zip gave me a functional stock recovery. Do you have this one ?
