Post Finding the best replacement battery for OnePlus One

Any word on those Eachtek batteries, gentlemen? My phone's battery is starting to dwindle into the 2300mah department, so I wanna get a replacement before they all disappear.

    Post Honor Smart Cover issue...

Did you ever figure this out? I have a customer's Honor 8 in my repair shop, and it did this as soon as I put the new screen on, and I haven't gotten it out of this mode since, even with the old screen. I've been looking everywhere, but it seems to be a somewhat uncommon problem.

Post [Discussion] Official LineageOS - bacon

I think it's deliberate in a sense, yes. I don't think they wanted it to be a lengthy install, just to make a daily driver ready OS. The time it takes is either because of certain optimizations, or because of the new signatures and everything.

Post OPO shuts down after 5 seconds, if..

You may need a new battery or motherboard, depending on where that corrosion is. That said, you should STOP TRYING TO BOOT THE DEVICE! This could further damage what may or may not have been done and turn your precious OPO into a brick. Before going and hunting down parts, you should buy some...

Post [Discussion] Official LineageOS - bacon

Just above your question is an answer I personally just gave to someone else. LineageOS just takes a second to flash. It seems this is going to be a normal thing. I imagine there's a lot of optimizations going on in the background. Just be patient, watch some YouTube videos or something while it...

Post [Discussion] Official LineageOS - bacon

Yeah, that sounds about right. I updated mine while here at work(still "working" :P)because I wasn't gonna need it. Remember how long it took that first nightly? I think that was a 20 minute adventure. This one was quicker, but it wasn't exactly like the old CM days where it was done in 20...

I wasn't going to post any links yet, as hunting for this has taken quite some time and effort, and there's a couple of...intricacies. Anyway, to give you all a heads up, I have ordered one, but so far it's still "processing". I wanted to make sure it's not a scam site before I posted, but from...

Post [OFFICIAL][7.1] LineageOS 14.1 - OnePlus One [bacon]

No problem! I'm glad you phone fixed itself, that always makes things smoother! Personally, I just flashed them both in one go(lineage first, Gapps second), and the only problem I've had was the NFC thing, which there are a few workarounds for, including just clicking "next" like a madman when...

Post [OFFICIAL][7.1] LineageOS 14.1 - OnePlus One [bacon]

Yeah, that's a commonly encountered bug. Something from your driver+adb+fastboot setup just didn't stick. At this point, fastboot commands won't help, so unplug your OPO, reinstall the driver+adb+fastboot stuff, reconnect your OPO, and you should be golden. EDIT: This has happened to me as...

Just reboot. You can either hard reboot by holding the power button or you can use the reboot command in ADB. Since the terminal you're in is saying "okay" and "finished", you should not experience any hiccups. ---------- Post added at 01:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:15 AM...

Post [OFFICIAL][7.1] LineageOS 14.1 - OnePlus One [bacon]

I don't see why certain people aren't. Didn't most people flash and use chainfire's root over the built in system root anyway? Besides, rebranding or not, this isn't CM anymore, and leaving root behind does help it feel...Fresher.

I work in phone repair, so I'm often looking through the catalogs of our various part suppliers, and the only time I ever see these, it's on Ali. I had some luck finding some white ones in stock at oppomart, but I think they've sold out since then. I'll find this and post in it or send you a PM...

    Post LINEAGE OS For OPO

Yes, sort of. OnePlus stopped supporting the updates years ago, and the latest OxygenOS for the OPO is 2.1.4 or something. CM has supported it since day 1, though, and they aren't stopping now. It will be officially supported by the remainder of the CM team, who are now the LineageOS team. That...

Good point. When you say it like that, you can't really knock em for it, it's like quarantining the "at risk" users from the unknowing users. Still gonna restrict them from a lot of unlocked phones though

Post Help with lcd replacement kit!

Post Help with lcd replacement kit!

Looks like you could potentially end up with issues with this screen, if not now, later. If you venture over to /r/mobilerepair, the sidebar has some very good part sources. In my experience, most of the parts of ebay and amazon were "reject" parts that have been refurbished. That said, for a...

I'm sorry, I probably should've updated, but I've been enjoying flashing onto all these other devices lol (I work in phone repair, get lots of random "test devices" :P). If you're on cm13, your firmware should be fine, as they've been keeping that updated regularly. As far as TWRP, TugaPower TWRP isn't needed, but recommended. I would suggest 3.0.3-2, or 3.0.2-3. the kernel will flash itself, and some have experienced slow charging, though that's better for your...

Can confirm, it works wonderfully on TugaPower 6.0.1. it sounds awesome mixed with viper! It reminds me of the way the iPhone 7 works/sounds, as that's how they achieved a "front facing" speaker; by just adding a channel for the ear speaker and making said speaker just a hair larger lol

Go try Mobile Defenders. Their screen prices are around $50 for this specific model, and buying from eBay would only save you like $10. Much more worth it to use to MD screen, at least you can return it if something's wrong

Post How is your battery after 1-2 years?

Google "dragon-tt", they have lots of replacement parts for OPO. Haven't personally used any yet, but judging from some other sources I've seen, they look like the most reliable parts. Battery replacements are easy on OPO as well, just make sure to use something plastic and thin(credit card/ID)...

I would recommend an Anker charger, as they adjust the flow going to your phone depending on how much it can/does handle. I use an Anker cable with my original charger and charging is equally as fast. If I use my Anker battery pack, it's still just as fast lol
