MusicFX needs to be enabled. However, the method of doing this has changed somewhat recently compared to the method documented on Github. You can try there first.
I've also noticed that the notifications are way too quiet, even with the volume all the way up. And there is no way any of the stock alarms would wake me up. I had to get a loud, obnoxious alarm off Zedge for that.
Disappointed in the audio quality overall, but as I have been spoiled by...
Arch produces some of THE best documentation you will find on any open source project. You can look up generic UNIX/Linux questions in Google and they are often at or near the top.
Odd. I was using alpha 4 just fine on nitrogen (7.1 ROM on Shamu), but on moving to ABC ROM (7.0), neither v4a nor Dolby work. I'll see if I can dig a little deeper in the morning.
Also make sure it is actually set as the default phone app.
I am using the one from opengapps aroma and it works, including having sound on phone calls.
I had just gotten OctOS N installed and configured right before the N build dropped here, so my experience is on that ROM. I am using Supersu 2.78 SR1 ( I think that is the correct version). suhide 0.54 never worked for me, but I uninstalled that and installed suhide 0.55 and AP is working, at...
The new version seems to contain a /system/xbin/su. This was not present in the previous version that I can tell. Multiple flashes with a clean system brought this file back. Its presence breaks suhide installation.
Concur.
I listen to a variety of music. It's nothing for a listening session to have Renaissance music the Alt Country. I need a good general purpose setup and I seem to have found it. The bass is deep and rich but not pounding, the mids are not overpowering, and the highs are crisp and clear.
Maybe so. I did some more tests. It *is* unmounting root, and once I do that I have no way to remount it except to reboot. That's fine, it's a tablet, it's not like I carry it around for AP. ;) Even unrooted, though, I couldn't pass SafetyNet.
So I see others having a similar problem, but not exactly the same situation.
I just installed Magisk for the first time (brand new install of Noougies ROM on a Nexus 9). I have phh superuser for Magisk and it is working from everything I see so far. My issue is trying to disable root through...
FWIW, for the lone Nougat ROM on the N9, it is documented to use Open Gapps Full, not Stock, as Stock has some FC issues related to the webview implementation. I just installed it and it is working perfectly. Caveat that this is an arm64 platform.
When I first installed this ROM I tried to use 3minit and had the exact same problem. I've never used 3minit so it's not something I couldn't live without, and I was short of time so I never reported it.

A couple of posts above this I uploaded the working version, so you don't have to flash banks to get it.
Make sure you delete the google package installer from priv-app, these are two different versions.
Yes, I checked all that out.

So I "fixed" it this way.
I wiped system and reinstalled the ROM using the open gapps stock from 9/20 (previously running banks from around the 16th). I then followed my own...
Anyone using PushBullet on the 9/25 build and not getting FCs? I dirty flashed over the initial release. I have a few other apps FCing but this is the only one that's a problem for me so far.
The package installer FCs are why I had to switch back to banks from open. If you want to use open (which I would prefer), then try this:
Flash using banks. You will find the package installer in /system/priv-app. Save the apk off somewhere, then reflash with open and move the package...
I tried to install the same banks gapps and couldn't get it to work to do set up. So I installed open micro (I think), got my phone set up. But the package installer in open kept FCing and breaking things in the process. So I reflashed using the same banks and everything seems to be working now.
If we're really going through all of the books of the Old Testament, it will take a long time to reach Isaiah. But I really think there should be an Isaiah sound system with a version number of 60.1.
