I have not had any luck getting the 7D rooted. It seems for me a driver issue, tried Win 7 & XP with no luck. This is a RockChip based tablet so it should be doable. Any ideas?

Quick update on my no Wi-Fi issue. Updated the kernel as recommended in post #1 and worked great. Sprint is upgrading a tower right near me and they just lit it up. I just pulled 32 down! Yeah that some serious speed.

Same here. But it stuck and works great. My LTE signal is significantly better using Network Signal App. But now my Wi-Fi is broke, oh well knew that going in. Back to MF9.

All I can say is do it. My wife had to have a keyboard too. Well after 2 days she loves this phone and keypad.

Got the 2-phones in my hand in less than 24-hours ordering from Sprint. For me this was a great deal as I usually buy phones when they debut and pay top dollar. Can't wait to begin playing these beauties.

I've had a number of bad downloads with the stock browser as well. So like a DA, I try it again. Started the install gave an error and started boot looping, real scared at that point. Pulled the battery and restored the backup. Whew. From now on DL via a PC and transfer to the SD card only...

Thanks for bringing this to the 4G community. I loaded up the 9-14 Nightly and I can't beleive how well this phone is performing. Smoothest ever for me. Haven't test Wifi yet but GPS Status pulled 13/13 sats. I look forward to future updates.

After three days of fustration with CM9 I'm back where I started; Calks ROM too. CM9 had no working GPS, BT would not sync to my car, 4G speeds were off, and Wi-Fi was spotty. Rule stick with the simple and what works. Since this is no longer supported cCan/should we flash an FF18 kernal...

This is hands-down the best phone I've ever used. I really feel for you guys that don't have good 4G you're missing a great on-line experience. I have a great case Sekio with a kick-stand. No creekiness. Rooting has added to the experience. Waiting for a CWM ICS version before I take the plunge.

Will I maynot be a dev here this 54 yr old can hange with most of you "young guns". Back on topic. I mod my cars as I see fit. This is a chance and risk I take for the pure enjoyment. Same goes for my phones, mod and hack away. I thumb my noise at the government any chance I get.

Thanks Caulk. My first root experience has been smooth. I has issues with the GPS but I tried GPSFix off the Market. Loaded it then removed it. My GPS locks much better. Give it a try.

I'm guessing the local cell towers don't yet recognize this PRL cause my 3g speed is utter crap. 173 - 229 kbps. Need to figure out how to flash back to 60681.
