It might also be the zip file you're trying to load. I had ODIN fail a few times with one zip in particular. Try it with a different ROM & see if you get different results. Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App

Looking at the screenshots of that one, vs. the installation of this one I've got, the Silent option is different (on Option 1 on this one, vs Option 3 on that one). I haven't had the opportunity to look under the hood, but they are different in at least some regard. HTH.
