If you see the firmware naming (https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h930ds-firmwares/#firmwaresList), Phillipines and India (also Indonesia, etc) firmwares both using OPEN ESA. It might be the reason why it is more compatible than CIS/AME firmware.

Perhaps rebooting is necessary for the OS to scan and repopulate the media. If it works you dont have to install 3rd party app, since android should already give you this basic feature. Screenshot of mine attached.

I'm still using older ver 7.2.1.2 so I dont know about the new version. In my case, its all working fine. I had factory reset my phone a week ago, and had restored all backups (backed up before the reset), and all data restored in place. Nothing went wrong.
