Hey noob question but how were you successful in flashing your vzw s8 with unlocked firmware ive tried everything and it just keeps failing in Odin..?

So I just flashed the latest att firmware on my Verizon note 8 and just trying to get volte and wifi calling to work but no luck. I've read the combanation file is need to "carrier switch" but none of the combanation files seem like they go with the latest pie firmware? And help and or pointing...

Samfirmware or updato and search your model number. Or Google it.

So I managed to get this to work first try on my s7 but when I try to do the same on my s7edge it seems to have no effect what so ever? Any ideas?

your likely going to have to reflash the stock firmware completely thats what I had to do. if you get lucky you can run the home instead of csc file and not wipe anything.

I actually just sent mine out for warranty it had screen burn figures this would become available quite literally the day after I ship my phone out..

good news is sammobile has already uploaded sprints and tmobiles firmware so we cant be too far off.

I sure wish sammobile or updato would get that new firmware uploaded Im stuck on unlocked firmware because they pushed out the v5 bootloader update and verizon was trailing behind... need to go back to verizon firmware to get back wifi calling. if only samsung played nice with their unlocked...

Thanks a lot downloaded in like 20 minutes compared to sammobiles time of like 4 plus hours! And worked perfectly flashed right over data still intact it did error on first boot but then booted right up.

So I could be wrong and I'll find out once I can download the firmware and test it but sammobile has two verizon firmware that I think might work cause their both revision or bootloader version 4 which I've mistakenly upgraded to. I'll update if it works.

First make sure your apn is set correctly second you may need to have a new sim provisioned due to it just going wacky.

I too am rather curious about the pixel xl2 and Moto z I was one of the lucky ones that got their Verizon pixel XL one with the old unlockable firmware.

I too am not thrilled with this because I want to use the Samsung messaging application for its integration on the phone and on my s3 watch go figure text notifications don't work as smoothly on the watch when your not using the Samsung messaging application. Seems specifically due to oreo.
