Hi everyone I am facing a problem with my htc explorer. In the music player a hissing sound is coming when i paused the music it can be heared and after about 6 seconds the hissing sound disappears. Is it normal or my set is faulty?? though the hissing sound is faint and can only be heared...

i had mailed my problem to the higher authority and asked them to solve the problem.Nxt day the service center guy called me & asked me to submit the phone with all the accessories.with in a week they gave me my 2nd replacement but it also had the same problem(actually i checked on the spot)...

Finally got the refund cheque today.Special thanks to ankydu,EarlZ, SAlmighty for their kind help.

i yet not got the refund but yes they offered me refund without any fuss .i had submitted the necessary docs on 21st jan and they adviced me to wait for 15 days.

Strange!! but in my country (i.e. india )note is being promoted heavily you can check it almost in every mall and mobile shops and even on some bus stops.

after using three Notes i'm sure most of the note do suffer from this black clipping issue.

now more people are experiencing the almost perfect ones.

After mailing my problem(black clipping) to the higher authority today i got a call from service center requesting me to submit the phone. will send it to the R&D department and will let me know what they gonna do with it.

exactly.just too make phone calls we can use a $30 phone.

that's what i was talking about.Me too have seen units free from this black clipping problem.God knows whats going on.:(:(:(

IMO Black clipping is much much more irritating than color banding . due to the Black clipping i stoped watching videos on it.Though both are huge problem for me and one can't expect such flaws from such expansive phone.

totally agreed with you today in a mall i saw a demo unit which shows very very few black blocks for the same video which i transferred from my note. so, how it can be possible if it's a s/w issue???

i've bought it in india.You are saying there are perfect screens out there but the service center guy told me that this problem is in every Note out there and can not be fixed by changing the display.

Yes in every Hd videos(720p/1080p even for very high qlty videos).In the lightness & slimmess video black blocks are not visible but i can see square blocks in part where blue sky is shown.

Yes you are right but the "Black spots while video playing" is also a huge problem for me due to this videos are unwatchable. And for the replacement service center guys are telling me the phone can not be replaced but they can replace the display which can not be able to solve the "Black spots...

same here every video even in youtube videos it shows them blocky. is it a software issue???

thanx fr the suggestion....since default lcd test (by pressing *#0*#) does not show any issue only "screen test" (with gray color) shows minute lines both horizontal and vertical lines so will decide tomorrow whether to replace or not(since there is a possibility that i may not get the flip...
