Understood! As far as fastbooting into TWRP and flahing Magisk 16.4, for whatever reason, my device is not being recognized when I bring up a command line. I've reinstall the drivers and getting the same results. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

You know, I gave that a shot and every time I would bring up cmd line, it would not recognize my device. I would power the phone up, reinstall the drivers and try again but to no avail. I even tried a different computer and also terminal emulator app from the google play store. I'm baffled at...

I went to SkipSoft Toolkit but it did not have Pixel 8.1.0 listed.

Now that I've unlocked my bootloader my next step is to try and root the device. I've tried Max Lee's method on "HighOnAndroid" for the Pixel and have had no success. Has anyone else had luck rooting your device and if so, what method did you use. Thanks!

I'm a visual person so hopefully the images can best explain the situation. Basically, when you power up the phone it takes you to the lock screen where you have three icons: phone>lock>camera. Swiping the lock screen up "should" bring you to the homepage (desktop) like in these images...

Yes, for some reason every time you power up the phone the contacts are displayed. Pressing the home page icon will bring you to the home page, so I'm just trying to figure out how to set-up the phone to go to the home page when you power up.

Towel Root That's pretty strange. I downloaded version 3 from towel root website and version 3 downloaded as tr.apk not tr3.apk. Can't explain it! Good luck nonetheless.:confused:
