Shortly after ARHD updated to 61.1, I believe, I flashed it then this sound mod and without even recording a video, my mic wouldn't work in call. I didn't look too much into it and just decided to try InsertCoin and haven't been having any issues.

That did the trick. I downloaded the GAPPS as soon as I saw the first update and didnt realize there was a new one.

Try wiping cache and dalvik on the secondary rom. Ive run into that problem before and that fixed it.

I ran into that when I accidentally restored gravitybox and then installed xposed framework. Gravitybox doesn't play well with non stock roms. It went away after I removed gravitybox. Other than that, I have not run into that problem.

Without the framework mod, by choosing odex in aroma, I'm not getting FCs on soundcloud or batteryguru.

You shouldnt have to. Ive had some issues trying to flash kernels on this device with twrp. You might try flashing a different kernel and seeing if it updates correctly then try and flash the original kernel again.

I was using Joey kernel on ViperOne up until now without this problem, but I just switched to GPE and after flashing Joey kernel this DashClock storage extension is now showing 0%. I know its not a big deal, but I was wondering if anyone knew why it would quit working after flashing Joey kernel.

Yes, I am currently running beta 1.5 with sti kernel 17ex4 You need to use odexed gapps such as paranoid android or banks. You might be able to use slims gapps if you use the odex tool, but I haven't tried it.
