I just flashed CM 12 beta on my i9500 (proper flash) but I found some bugs and lags hence I decided to reflash it when I found out I couldn't reboot into recovery mode. The device just restarts. I tried the 3 button combo, rebooting through recovery mode through the phone, even downloaded ROM...

123hiten, i think you are also indian.... :P , i have 1 question, the SIM card slot in my S4 is much smaller than my regular SIM card, does it use a different kind of SIM??? Because i have used the same SIM since i got my first phone....but it is too big for the slot..... :crying:

I unlocked dev options and then ticked usb debugging......now when i connect to my pc, i get an option to connect as mtp or ptp...... what i want is the usb mass storage option so that i can freely transfer files.....What should i do????

I had debugging on and when connected to PC, i got 2 options i.e. to use my phone as MTP(for media) or PTP(for photos)

Thanks!!! Well thanks, your method kinda worked...........even though I had only 1 backup (and that too was of task's AOKP) I was lucky that I had the SlimBean ROM's zip file in my ext SD........I flashed it......reboot my recovery, did full/cache wipe and then flashed this ROM which LUCKILY...

Can't Flash!!! :( I WAS ORIGINALLY RUNNING task650's AOKP 4.2.2 rom and i flashed this one but it wont flash......(status 7 error) I then again did a factory reset and flashed ajk kernel and followed the steps (reboot recovery again and flash). BUT IT STILL GIVES STATUS 7 ERROR.......Please...

Rooted-Yes, Im running task650's AOKP 4.2.2 ROM with the stock kernel.....i.e. i haven't flashed another kernel, using the one which is there by default in the rom

No problems!!!! No problems whatsoever......I really like CM now.......phone's perfect.....excellent battery(better than the siyah one) NO BUGS AT ALL. EVERYTHING'S PERFECT!!!!!! I would also love the option for you to permanently switch to CM.......and give a link for siyah :cool:

I always prefer a stable kernel, over an experimental one.......If I get better results using CM, I will prefer CM.......U can either fix siyah, or permanently include CM in the roms, and add a link for siyah...(for people who want to try out siyah)

Will give it a try Well, I'll certainly try out your settings.....but the problem is after 3-4 hrs after i flashed, the phone started to misbehave...i couldn't type , unlock or even scroll proplerly......like someone said earlier, the volume would adjust itself automatically, and random apps...
