This is what I did...
Download the NB1 kit from here.
Boot safestrap, and flash ShoStock 6.2, After flash completes back out to main menu (do not reboot system), select reboot > download mode. You will need to Odin the NB1 Odin files from the NB1 kit you downloaded. You can use the directions...
Finally back
Just flashed this excellent ROM on my new S4. It took a while to navigate all of the hurdles to get running. A lot has changed between the S2 and S4. What a smooth work of art this ROM is. :highfive:
What am I missing?
I successfully flashed the rooted firmware. I can see that it is rooted using adb root command. I cannot for the life of me to get superuser to work. I pushed the su file to sbin and installed the apk. What am I missing???

Sync depends on what you provider allows. My ISP doesn't allow sync of some items i.e picasa. I have to turn off picasa sync when I first set up my phone after a full wipe. If not battery life turns to crap.

I was a Lead Equipment Tech at Motorola in Phoenix back when they made Semiconductors. I worked in Photolithography. Moved on to Canon Semiconductor. Something about yellow light... Left there 10 years ago. Now I'm an unemployed Field Service Tech living in South Georgia. :crying:
You can use TiBu to back up and restore your SMS. Press the backup/restore button and scroll down to Messages entry and hit back up. It backs up as an XML file. Anything yellow in the backup/restore menu can be backed up. I use it for messages, wifi and call log.
I can't answer about your...
You can use TiBu to back up your call log and text messages. Press the Backup/Restore button. Scroll until you find Messages (will be in yellow) and select it and hit back up. You can do the same thing with the call log, wifi networks, and bluetooth pairings.
I think you should copy everything from the card to your PC then reformat your card. I'm using Power Amp and I'm not having any problems.

Once you use the apk to get root you can flash a ROM and it should fix the camera. Just follow the directions Sho gave you. Check back with any questions or problems... We're all here to help.

Updated yesterday. Battery life is great, gps locks in 5 sec with accuracy of 5 meters. Very smooth!
Everything is working like it should.
You need to disable noise reduction. This ROM is a hacked version of an I9100 ROM and the microphones are backwards. Noise reduction needs to be disabled to work correctly. Bring up your dialer>call settings>additional settings and deselect noise reduction. It's also noted in the OP and almost...
I'm not sure if Account backup in TiBu works. I've haven't tried it as I just have a couple of gmail accounts.
Backup/Restore tab then accounts. I'm going to try it and see.
I'm an old geek. It's a lot of fun and these forums can be quite entertaining. It's good to see a group of people working to make something work at it's best.
btw Happy Birthday!
I'm having success with Jelly Bean Keyboard on Google Market. It's free and seems to work better than the included keyboards. I'm not seeing the issue you are. Word prediction works pretty well too.
You need to give more info. What apps? Did you wipe data before you flashed? Have you tried to reflash? Asking questions is welcome but you need to include more info when you do.
That's the multi-window toggle. You can disable it in >settings>display if you don't want to use it... edit is not working atm. It is listed in the changelog in post 2.
Installed and working great! Can't wait to see what this will be like when source drops. Sho you've done it again!
Many thanks

Back to 4.1.5 I go
Had to go back to 4.1.5 today. Woke up this morning and phone was hot and battery at 37% after being on the charger all night. Battery life was not as good for me on 5.1. I've had trouble flashing 5.0 and 5.1 even with full wipes; TiBu wouldn't restore apps at all. Tried to...
