I have a towelrooted JB device. If I update to rooted KK, will I be able to go back to JB?

I guess what I'm trying to say is, your normal value does not seem to be changing the stock value. It still feels like 500ms. Maybe someone else with a Samsung phone (and on a stock based rom) can confirm if they experience the same thing.

There is no way normal is 100ms on my Note 3. It feels more like 500ms (in other words, way too long for me). Long long press feels like a second and a half. Could this be a Samsung thing that's affecting the speed?

Titanium backup will let you backup your apps (and possibly texts), but not your rom. Safestrap should let you create a backup of your entire rom.

NFC and Bluetooth are used differently. Bluetooth maintains a constant connection where as NFC is used for a temporary quick connection. Bluetooth uses more battery.

Are T-Mobile custom roms flashable on the AT&T Note 3? I would think so since the chipsets are the same. Couldn't really find much info on this.

Can't justify spending more than $100 on a subsidized device when I'll be paying over $3000 for the service during the course of 2 years knowing full well they're already milking customers. So I'm definitely going to stick with refurbished and take a risk.

FPS can depend on the rom/kernel you're running. Samsung roms are more laggy I've noticed.

Well, how is it any more useless than any other phone with NFC? The only thing that you can't do with the NFC on this phone is tap to pay with google wallet. Otherwise, it's just like every other phone with an NFC chip.

I was under the impression that SOD meant sleep of death. Anyway, the issue is that when the screen turns off, you cannot turn the screen back on and wake it (as if the phone is off). This happened most often during a call when the screen turns off and when you quickly turn the screen back on...

Experiencing SOD's on 4.9 like crazy (I'm on Shostock3). This is happening on the default settings, so there's no undervolting. Went back to 4.3 and have not had a single SOD.

Why risk it? Just flash a known, good kernel.

I would imagine that a file containing vehicle tuning configuration data would only have small, incremental changes in values rather than any actual additional lines of code. I think the case is different with a bootloader.

Real Racing 3 is not compatible with our devices. You can find it somewhere online and side load it. Don't bother though, the frame rate is not smooth enough on our devices to really enjoy it.

Mine's set at 400mhz and still crackles. There's no way to justify having to set the cpu frequency higher than that to get smooth music playback.

I'm still getting static and crackling in the stock Samsung music player on v2.38. Was a fix ever implemented for this?
