    Post [RoM][XWLSZ-4.1.2-JB][SHOstock3 v4.0] [10/13/13]["RiseUp Edition"]

I have restored System Data using TiBu and it did cause some of the apps to not work properly. As suggested by others, I would just restore the apps and not the system data. I would also like to say that Shostock v3.0 runs great on this phone. The ability to have more apps on one screen helps...

Google Now is a huge battery killer. I might suggest if you do not use Google Now, you can simply turn it off (not uninstall, just disabling it). Or if you use Google Now, you can disable certain functions that you do not use. I did this and noticed not an extreme increase, but it did make a...

    Post [RoM][XWLPY-4.0.4-ICS]SHOstock2 v6.2 [11/13/2012](FINAL)

I'd have to disagree with you on the better battery life. I am getting way better battery out of the separate posted kernal (v5.0.1ai) than I was on the one packed with 6.2. I'm not saying that your wrong, I'm just saying that I believe its going to be different with each person.

I too have the RAM drop that reads 782 MB. But, in my opinion, there is no need to worry. Everything still seems to be running smoothly and I have not see any FC's or errors.

    Post [RoM][XWLPY-4.0.4-ICS]SHOstock2 v6.2 [11/13/2012](FINAL)

I too am from Upstate NY. No problems at all with text issues. Ive had similar issues with the GPS also. But for mine, sometimes it closes and other times it does not. Not a big problem in my opinion, because I really do not use any gps/map programs that often (only when tracking deer movements...

I had the same issue this morning. I hit the power button to pull up the lockscreen, and it was frozen on the lockscreen. I had to reboot the phone and it did it again a couple minutes later. So far it has happened the two times this morning, but nothing a reboot did not fix. I did not have this...

Post [Q] screen not that responsive..

Might I suggest doing a Full Wipe (not just the cache) and/or trying a different ICS Rom? I tried multiple ICS Roms before I settled into one that I liked. The scrolling and screen responsiveness is a bit different that the GB Roms, but I wouldn't consider it too much different in my opinion.

    Post [Q] Opinion Needed S2 vs S3

I know its not always an option for everyone, but you could always keep your S2 and get the S3. That is what my plans are. The S2 is a rock solid phone IMO. I have virtually no complaints about the S2. The features that are included with the S3 are a boost compared to the S2, but have potential...

    Post [RoM][XWLPY-4.0.4-ICS]SHOstock2 v6.2 [11/13/2012](FINAL)

I do plug my phone in at work when I need to. I always carry a spare cable with me, just for the reason if I end up using more than usual or have problems and end up with extra battery drain. I noticed today that my phone is draining its battery more just trying to connect to a wifi point, than...

I have also noticed the battery drain. I was getting excellent battery life with v5.2, but not so good with v5.3. I have noticed that i get worse battery life at work, but that is because of weak signal through the works wifi. I was able to connect to the works wifi with v5.2 and have yet to...

    Post Custom Rom Features

After playing around with the rom for the last couple days I have found it to be very stable. I tried to find instability and could not find much. The camera (obviously) was not working and the battery gauge only worked when plugged in and charging. Other then those two issues, everything else...

    Post Custom Rom Features

Downloaded and Installed while here at work. I installed as a secondary rom and it was a smooth install. Minor hangup (3 minutes) on the boot load-up screen, but that was most likely due to first install. Tried it on second boot-up and it was much quicker. Only problem I noticed so far was I...

    Post Custom Rom Features

Question: Are you trying to use this as a stand-alone rom or as one side of a dual boot rom? I am currently running Shostock2 v5.2 (my daily driver) and have tried other roms as a secondary boot with mixed results. When I have some time this weekend, I'm going to give this a try as a secondary...

Post how to get phone to find phone service again without rebooting

I had similar problems when I was still on stock rom. I used an app called Fresh Network that seemed to help some, but not to the extent that I would like to have had it work (but I also live and work in a small city that has only 1 AT&T tower to connect to - lol). You could give that a try and...

    Post Custom Rom Features

It will be your Rom, so make it the way you would like to see it. Plenty of people will comment more on what they would like to see in your Rom as soon as they can use it. Just have fun with making it. I would suggest the following: 1 - Have it based on Samsung Stock Rom (preferably 4.0.4) 2 -...

    Post New to the i777

I have tried half a dozen or so different roms, and the one that I keep coming back to is Shostock2. His latest release (4.0) is very stable, but it still needs some features added in that were in some of his previous releases. If you are looking for a balance of features, get Shostock2 (3.1.2)...

    Post At&t Shared Data Plans

I completely agree with you on the idea of a shared data plan is a great idea and yes it is just wrong. The prices that AT&T are charging does not encourage its current customers to change their plans. I for one will be sticking with my current data plans (I am grandfathered in to Unlimited Data...
