I just want to say thanks for this ROM. It's been a bit of battle making this device feel like it's still the flagship device that it was intended to be before Google promptly took it out back and shot it, and this ROM goes a long way toward restoring a lot of that lustre.

So I installed Caffeinate and just let it sit and it was still flickering over an hour later, so just "letting it settle" was not a solution. This however, was a solution. Checking the Disable HW Overlay flag in the developer options stopped it completely, so this is the real culprit.

If you're running CM, then the theme engine is built into the ROM. It's under Settings>Themes. Just select the theme from the theme chooser there after you've installed the .apk.

Nah, Mr. Cook uploaded them. I think he built them. You would have to ask him what's involved, but I would imagine it's not too difficult. Also, I think built is the wrong word. My guess is that there's just a few lines somewhere they need to be changed before it's rezipped.

Yes and no. I think recovery zips have to be specifically made for this phone since it uses a different partition than most devices, but only if you want the recovery flash to be permanent. You can flash any CWM zip of i777 inside CWM itself, but it will only apply until you reboot...

Who is pushing the 10.2 nightlies then if there's no maintainer for the i777? Does they just get automatically pushed? I ask because I'm genuinely not sure how CM handles their nightlies.

I think I'd much rather have a light grey or white version of this theme anyway, that way it would fit with the default kitkat apps.

Did you remember to install the updated GAPPS package if you use those apps? Android 4.3 has dedicated versions of most of Google's apps. Also, I don't know if this really makes a difference, but I wiped my cache partition and Dalvik cache AFTER I installed the ROM and GAPPS package as well...

I haven't updated my recovery at all since I did the original steps and 10.2/4.3 installed just fine with a clean install (backup important data, factory reset, wiped caches, installed from recovery not updater menu).

You should be set. I've had to work with their executive resolution department after filing a BBB claim and though I can't say the issue ever got resolved, I did get the sense that particular department was a hundred times more competent than their tech support.
