Stupid new-kid-on-the-block question warning.
Once I am rooted, do I just drag and drive this zip file on the phone, open rom manager, and select "Install ROM from SD card"?
I wish it was that easy for me. Coming from the iPhone jailbreaking scene, this stuff is like jibberish. They need a "rooting the gsII for dummies." :(
Today:
Battery is at 48%
Phone has been on 8h 9m
Display 1h 7m (45% of consumption)
Edit: So I guess 1h 7m of display has used ~25% of the battery life.
Battery life is GREAT so far compared to infuse. My complaint right now is the lock button seems a little too low, and the phone gets pretty warm after playing some games for a bit.
You can call and change from the grandfather 3g unlmited to the 4G plan and not lose the unlimited. You MUST be on the 4g plan to see 4g speeds out of the phone.
I just checked your area and there are a couple of towers having issues right now in Denver, but a simple reboot should through you to a different tower.
Mine is sat on ATT PHONE by default and I am getting 5down 1up in a "non HSPA+" area (that was HSPA though...they are turning it on and off while testing it.)
Running through my first charge today. So far, its been off charger for 4h 21m. I am at 74% with a live wallpaper and screen rotation on. So far, it seems to be better than my infuse.
