Yeah, I'm 100% sure that my phone is unlocked because the tmobile card I used does work. I'm just curious about why typing *#7465625# into my dialer pad doesn't give me the confirmation of network status.

i777 rooted and on stock 2.3.4. I got the code from AT&T and after I entered it the display did say "unlock successful", but when I go to the dialer pad and put in *#7465625# nothing happens, I don't get the "Personalizatiob Status" message. Do I need to enter that code with the "non-AT&T"...

I guess it depends on whether you prefer 2.3.4 or 2.3.6. But at the point "where wifi was killed", you have a choice. You can do a factory reset and stay on 2.3.4 and wifi will return OR you can do the OTA upgrade to 2.3.6 and wifi will return that way as well.

Hi Hexproject - yes you will still have root after applying the 2.3.6 OTA update (at least I did and GalaxyMaster indicates they did still have root as well)

There is an easier way, which I got from GalaxyMaster in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1404767&highlight=factory&page=2 I had the AT&T 2.3.6 update installed. Once you follow method #3 (or 4 I assume) to root the phone you are back to 2.3.4 and wifi doesn't work...
