I'm getting odd battery results on FE22. Works great under heavy use. But just today after one hour from 100% I dropped 15% mainly from "Android OS". And yesterday I saw mediaservices taking a hefty chuck as well. Although it does seem better still than FE16 Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA

I didn't lose any personal settings/data. Just flash with ODEN, its a snap. Battery life SEEMS improved, but this is untested. Everything is definitely just as stable, used it the entire day and have been very happy with it. :D

Can also try mounting on an old SAT dish, it can provide a huge gain of signal if you have one lying around, just point it in different directions till you get max bars. Show your signal in dBm if you can for more accuracy. The dish points in the direction of 45 degrees off the plane of the dish.

I have CM9alpha4 FE22, the option is available under the security settings. I would test it for you, but my battery is not fully charged (which it requires and plugged in) and it says it takes an hour to complete XD.

I don't believe you can root it directly. You need to flash over a custom ROM which has already been rooted. You can still keep stock, but you have to find rooted stock in the "Android Development" Section. Its good that you got that update though, this ensures you get the updated baseband...

Ok I did this and it worked! Samsung 2.2 (Official kies install) rooted, with clockwork recovery (ROM Manager installed and flashed). Simply copy that to your sdcard (internal). Then reboot into recovery mode: Shut down phone hold down all three buttons, etc Then reinstall packages twice...
