do vendor images mean all roms now work across any device? you just flash the AOSP vendor on top of the rom?

Literally everything you just wrote is made up fairy tale. As I understand the reason its not available is that its motorola software. Implementation should not be the issue. Plenty of third party apps work flawlessly.

Thats peculiar, but regardless... it doesn't happen on any other 5.0 AOSP roms Ive used which incorporates ambient display. Also i feel the most important part of 5.0 AOSP is ambient display. Turning it off isn't a reasonable "fix", if even a fix at all.

did you follow the return to stock thread? i guess not. you have to go into recovery and wipe all data / factory reset. it will work. Anyone having battery drain, crashes, or issues that hasn't done a completely clean install is not allowed to ask questions. i could take a bloated nexus 4...

Yes but you also unzip the image file to get system, recovery abd userdata for fastboot. So its two unzips. But yes. Easy.
