Was wifi working before you started this process, and you were able to use it? Because, after you flashed the UCMD8 stock, wifi should have been working, and you said it was not. That makes me think that you may have a hardware issue with the wifi.

You can go back to stock NB1 but you can't downgrade to 4.3, MK2 due to the locked bootloader. See this thread.

4.4.2 is as far back you can go due to the nature of the locked bootloader, which will not allow you to regress the bootloader.

The vast majority of problems flashing with Odin can be traced to the connection between the phone and the pc, either the cable or one of the ports. If Odin recognizes the phone and you can start the flash but it fails, then it is very likely a connection problem.

If you update over-the-air you will lose root. If you want Lolipop and keep root see [How-To] Update to I337_OC4 - 5.0.1 and KeepRoot.

Sounds like a hardware failure issue. The normal troubleshooting step to determine hardware failure is to flash back to stock to see if the problem goes away, and in your case with both OC3 and NB1 the issue is still present. Sorry. I don't know anything else you can try.

If the problem is in the phone, then I don't know the remedy. If you can boot into recovery, you might try performing a wipe data/factory reset. You might try uninstalling and reinstalling the USB driver. See this thread for download. Or you might try a different PC.

Agreed. Towelroot works only with the NC1 kernel. You must flash the nc1 kernel, root with towelroot, and flash back the kernel for your system, presumably NJ4 or NJ5. If you didn't do this, then of course towelroot will not work. And it probably depends on which version of towelroot you use...
