If your contact is offline they wont get messages. In all other scenarios, they do receive your messages.

If you flashed SPL 2.6 from HTC site, it should ideally show up as a SPL 2.6 when you enter the SPL mode. If it didn't show 2.6, then even when you get HSPL, it wouldn't have fixed the issue.

Interop unlock and custom ROMs are available for 710. Go to phone specific forums on XDA, get yourself a rainbow ROM or something like that. Get SMS back up, and if formats are compatible, you should have SMS on it easy.

It's already discussed in this thread. It isn't persistent and it isn't emminent to all users either. The origin of bug is unknown though.

Did you have more than 45 installed at some point and then got rid of most of them? All I can see is a hard reset. This isn't a stock OS behaviour and there isnt any stock OS bug of this kind. Other than a bad flash/update, there can't be an explanation as you've hardly touched the registry.

I only realised of this problem NOW! Not on this ROM though. I am using unlocked stock AT&T ROM and today I tried to send a voice note, because I hate whatsapp. However, it only recorded nothing. No noise either, just a blank clip. Did you guys come across any fix? Is this a Tango thing?

Link from the first post is DEFINITELY working from where I am. Nothing wrong with that link. Yes, it could be internet speeds or server side issues on your end. But as long as link from the first post goes, that is where I got the ROM downloaded after that post and mirrored it...

I'm not sure what's wrong with the Counters app in that case. I don't use that app as such. Calendar issues - it is in root of all 7.8 ROMs and none have been able to kill that bug. I think it comes from the beta build that has been used for making all 7.8 ROMs.

I saw similar GPS behaviour with Sianto's latest one as well. I am not sure if all 7.8s are doing this? :s I'm back to unlocked stock for now.

Nokia apps may not work by default on this ROM. This is STOCK Eternity ROM. You will have to: a) Install Nokia market using Marketplace config app. b) Change OEM in registry from "HTC" to "Nokia"
