What's your problem? Are you implying that it is my fault that applying search filters for literally anything in the app doesn't actually work? Searching for some really common things like "airplane takeoff" and limiting my search results to uploads within the last month still gives me videos...

That would've been great if the search results actually did provide useful information but despite downgrading through several versions all the way to the ones from mid 2018 did not solve the problem. Apparently there's something wrong with the search API itself.

For some reason the search filters aren't working in the latest version. Trying to sort by upload date and setting an upload range yields the same results as the normal search without filters.

Do you mean the one with a flap on it, the really thin one? Yeah you're supposed to pull that off. Below that there's a little thicker screen protector. You can pull that off too if it gives you any issues.

On stock with heavy use I get around 14h out of my M10 pro. I'd imagine you can easily get 2 days out of it with battery saving and light usage. I was on a camping trip earlier this year and had my Mate 10 in ultra power saving for a day, where it only lost like 7% over the course of 15 hours.

I'm well aware of the lack in development on emui devices. This isn't my first one. But let's face it, the real issue isn't emui, or the lack of support, but the SoC. The Kirin is terrible in a lot of aspects and it's a surprise we can get some things working at all.

I uninstalled magisk before updating and flashed stock recovery to be able to install the OTA. Afterwards I just flashed TWRP and magisk again and it worked just as fine. You will always have the 5s delay when your bootloader is unlocked. Just press the power button to skip it.

Installed B142 on my Mate 10 Pro. Runs a lot smoother than 137. Hope it's not just something temporary. Full OTA, bootloader didn't relock, so that's one less thing to worry about.

They can't change your bootloader unlock code, it's hard coded into the chipset. I've never heard of unlocked phones being refused from booting Android either, so I wouldn't panic too much. OTA will likely lock the bootloader, but even then you'll just have to unlock it with the code you...

I have an uptime of 557h (just over 22 days) and I have yet to fill the 6GB once. The lowest I've ever gone was 1.98GB free. Even Chrome with 15+ tabs in the background is no problem. Just set your apps up correctly so they don't get killed by battery optimization.

Photos yes, video recording not so much, not sure why. Also be aware that the Mate 10 Pro does not have a 3.5mm jack or SD card slot, but 256GB internal memory instead.

Mainly just the camera. Performance-wise the Mate 10 lacks in numbers, but it still feels just as snappy. The monochrome cameras are great, and the camera app's pro mode is really nice to take some great pictures with. I especially fell in love with the 30s exposure.

I can't really say, I never owned a Galaxy since the S2. Was looking to see if the S9+ ends up being better than the Mate 10, or at least drop the price of the Note 8.

Sorta OT, but isn't V4A not working related to the audio libs being all weird on EMUI? I remember having to install a specific version of V4A (2.4.0.1) via flashing a zip to get it working on my P9 and Mate 7.

Hey guys, since I'm still on EMUI 4, mainly for compatibility reasons, I wanted to ask how well the following things are doing on EMUI 5 and thus making it worth an upgrade. Is there full root for EMUI 5 yet? Which version, if any, of XPOSED is working? Is Viper4Android working properly?

N is out in only one region yet. I imagine it won't be long until TWRP is working properly once Nougat gets its worldwide release on the P9+. Then systemless root should work just fine.

Latest API 23 ARM64 builds should work without issues. Theming is still an issue due to Huawei's custom Theme engine, but everything else should work fine. Using it with YouTube Background Playback and YouTube AdAway right now.
