Why no update in Australia dammit!?

This was one of my gripes BEFORE i bought the phone.... now actually using it, it's not such a problem. I'm one that likes to hold it (the phone) so once I lift it up or a simple press of the on/off button whilst walking comes up with the lock screen and all notifications..... when on my desk...

That's interesting.... purchased my M20Pro from Mobileciti, build date was 2 Nov, out of box had .122. WiFi only during setup and initial play around, no update, inserted Optus (SIM1) and Telstra (SIM2) and immediately received .126. I was never sure if update was from carrier or manufacturer...

For anyone in Australia, I just installed the MAXShield Aqua Shield Premium Screen Protector. I think this is same (perhaps just similar) as the ScreenKnight one in UK but easy to get for A$15 delivered. I've installed dry screen protectors on previous phones so this is my first wet one ( ;) )...

This is an accident find but haven't read about it anywhere - apologies if it's widely known. Long pressing the "trash can" in the Recent Apps section brings up All Apps - nice shortcut.

I received mine today via Mobileciti, midnight blue, same 5 digits in serial number, BOE screen too.

I should be receiving mine Monday from Mobileciti. I ordered when there was no stock and had an "ETA" date. Received email earlier today saying it was shipped. Fingers crossed it's from a new batch and/or BOE screen - will let you know.

That's probably why next batch are working.... more time for glue to cure. :D

This be true, I'm in for the Mate 20 Pro.... two things were holding me back - Green screen (confident to be fixed in next batch) and 3rd party notifications in AOD (used to it on a Samsung S8 and even a work provided Motorola 5gs).

Was looking forward to Mate 20 Pro but 99% sure will be ditching in favour of OnePlus 6T - not exactly AOD but at least shows 3rd party notifications when picking up the phone . Plus has screen-off gestures which is intriguing.

Let me see if I have this right.... you replied to a post that expresses disappointment about Mate 20 Pro not having AOD notifications for 3rd party apps. Does OP6T have AOD at all?

Can anyone on Optus in Australia confirm if VoLTE works via a non-Optus purchased Mate 20 Pro?

Everyone's talking about Huawei (and of course they are responsible) but I wonder if LG is onto this? Surely they must be in damage control because it affects their screens in particular.

I read about this on a review.... yes, 2 microphones on the Mate 20 Pro, hole for each, one very close to SIM hole. The reviewer noted hoping there's some protection to the mic as this would happen.

My ultimate decision in the next week or so will be 6T or Mate 20 Pro. I really wish 6T included dual GPS. My understanding is it locks in quicker in built up areas.... with so much of my time in CBD I really would LOVE this. Any hope of a surprise on launch?
