No it does not. You can update your phone through dload on a locked bootloader so it doesn't void warranty

Either on a nm card or USB otg create a folder called dload and move all 3 zips to that folder. Then restart phone, hold volume up and down and power button all together once phone shows Huawei then let go of power button while still holding down volume up and down then it will update. This...
