Some people might be confusing not perfect uniformity (like the picture of Note 10 I posted on the first page) with the issue of greent tint, almost no phone with AMOLED has perfect uniformity on a 5% gray picture but that's not noticeable with normal use as the radioactive glowing green

Yeah samsung updated so their apps are full black because they probably realized it's a widespread issue but it's still a harware issue and will show the green in third party apps with dark mode such as reddit app

Same here, no difference after the update. Clearly a hardware issue unfortunately, otherwise all phones would have the green tint in the same spot

Yeah it's the samsung one that comes pre-installed. In the picture both are at 40% brightness. It's just as noticeable in any samsung app when dark mode is on (settings, calendar, dialer, messages, etc) You can also google "gray 5% uniformity test"

I thought I could live with it but it is also getting extremely annoying on dark backgrounds that I had to turn off dark mode indefinitely. I think I'm gonna fight with Samsung to try to get a screen replacement at least (in a couple months when they get their shiet together) since it is not...

Mine is most noticeable at around 35-40% brightness and with 120 hz but still noticeable with 60 hz while on the note 10+ I can't see any green at all at any level of brightness. I think it's a quality issue and variation of OLED screens but not sure if it would count as "defective". Samsung...

I remember all the Mate 20 Pros with LG screen had this issue buy way worse in some cases...

Oh wow, you're right! I set it to 60 hz and QHD+ and uniformity on the gray test got noticeable better, still some green on top right corner and around the punch hole but noticeable less. I love reaaally 120 hz during normal use though.

I did the same test, I'm attaching a picture of my Note 10+ and the S20 Ultra side by side. Uniformity seems a lot better on the note 10+, however on white background the Note 10+ turns more red when I slightly tilt it while the S20 Ultra seems to shift colors a lot less and still white overall...

yes I am able to download the videos but the app is not a video player you have to selecf the right format while downloading and then I use MX Player Pro to reproduce them

Nope, there are some settings to make it "natural", "vivid" or colder or warmer, the closest is "vivid" but no there is no way to make it look truly similar
