You have a good point about Generic UK, to this day my Xperia pro, with Generic UK, unbranded bought from clove.co.uk has not received the 4.0.4 update... and it was hell to update it to german version wich had a different hardware layout for the keyboard.

I think it is well worth it, got mine from ebay for around 10$. Feels solid enough, very good fit and gives nice access to all the buttons on the side and makes it easy for you to press them.

The leaked version is for a very specific device, for a very specific region. Using it in another region with other carriers than those originally intended for can have all sorts of consequences. I'll wait a little bit longer, maybe the official version will come out.

What does EMMA say about Xperia SP? What firmwares does it say are available for unlocked phones? Mine is locked and I have not made my mind to unlock its bootloader.

There are no bugs, just delays because SONY released new firmwares for a ton of Z devices which puts a strain on the engineers and the servers.

For me the answer is much simpler: SONY overextended themselves promising unrealistic software updates for more than 5 different models of tablets and mobile phones. And ofcourse they allocated time, money and resources to the teams taking care of the updates for the more expensive Z products...

Well, I can tell you that on my unlocked Xperia pro I have not been able to flash any boot.img. Not with latest flashtool, not with fastboot, not with anything. The only kernel I could flash was in ftf format.
