    I did the hard reset thrice. Since the third ( that is about 24 hours ago), the unit has behaved normally. The notification sounds has remained as it was, no change. Anyway, I did dial as per your instructions and the screen shot is attached. Thank you indeed.

    Thank you. I did but the notification bar is grayed out and I can not make any adjustments. It seems that one or more apps turns it off. Would appreciate any more suggestions. Again, Thanks.
