Post ENG HBOOT for alpharevx S-OFFed phones.

I'm not sure how the HTC update program will deal with a branded ROM. I guess you could flash ClockWorkMod Recovery (can be done through fastboot) and install the standard ROM from there, but then you could just as well install a custom ROM like Saga LBC Mod ;). Glad I could help. Maarten

Post ENG HBOOT for alpharevx S-OFFed phones.

Thank you for providing this file. I couldn't get it to load from within the bootloader, but it could be flashed through fastboot. I've written a guide stating how I did to restore my phone to stock using this HBOOT. Here's the guide...

Post [Q] How to S-on after S-off with Revolutionary?

Alternate way to restore your phone to S-ON and stock Hi, I've spent the last few days digging through the internet, looking for ways to get my Desire S back to S-ON after AlphaReveX S-OFF. The reason? I need to send it in for repair due to a birth defect. I thought I'd share the path which...

Post LBC Mod 0.6 - Anyone installed Sense 3 3D Launcher?

Google backups and synchronises settings (including apps) to your Google account. Whenever I add a Google account in a fresh ROM it also starts downloading the apps I've previously had. There should be an option to disable this in settings. If I remember correctly, you can choose this during the...

Post Best cheap case for Desire S?

I use TPU cases for my phones. They are very affordable, provide proper shock protection and the ones I've purchased has an elevated frame which protects the display when the phone is placed face down on an even surface. I use this case for my DSS: http://www.ebay.com/itm/280693499125

Post Phone keeps randomly powering off!

If the problem persists through multiple ROMs, it definitely sounds like a hardware problem. I'd return it to stock and have it sent in for repair under warranty.

Post Battery problem on desire s

I had this problem when still on stock ROM and had a few widgets collecting data in the background. It wasn't all that severe though; I had to charge the phone once a day. Since I installed LBC mod, I only have to charge the phone every two days;)

I too don't use a screen protector. It inhibits the user experience IMO.

Post Which Sense version do you prefer ?

While I like the Sense 3.0 lockscreen, I think that many of the visual "improvements" such as the carousel homescreen spin effect is too much. For me, it's more important that you can navigate and perform tasks smoothly and effectively. If you have Sense =>3.0 and install a custom launcher like...

Post [Q] Desire S worth it even with problems?

My DSS has been through quite a lot, starting with ARX S-OFF + CWMR. Upon that, I've flashed a new radio and tried quite a few custom ROMs and also switched back to a stock ROM a few times. Now I have successfully restored everything back to stock since it needs to be sent in for repair to have...
