This is quite normal and has to do with the RunTime being ART vs Davlik. In KitKat we had a choice between the two but with Lollipop it's only ART now. The thinking is that the device runs more smoothly with ART at the expense of longer boot time.
Ever since upgrading to Lollipop 5.1 on my Moto X (2013), I get the message: "vnd.android.nfc://ext/motorola.com:xring", every time that the screen unlocks with the Motorola NFC Skip. Is there a way to prevent the message from showing?
Thanks
Pat
I am probably the wrong person to be giving advice because I am not an Android techie but all that I can tell you is that I did it and my phone is now on 4.4.2 and is still unlocked with TWRP and is rooted.
However, I did go through the anxiety of thinking that I had bricked my new phone when I...
I do not believe that I have Dev Edition. I bought my motoX earlier this year, directly from Motorola's website and specified that it was for T-Mobile's network.
All I did was to go online and requested a bootloader unlocking from MotoX.
The phone is now unlocked with TWRP and rooted.
So I am...
This happened to me too.
Just flash the latest firmware for your device at http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0
Then accept the OTA.
Re-install TWRP.
Hope this works for you too.
Are you sure that it is not a problem with the wifi antenna? Maybe the contacts are not being made to the antenna on the back cover.
If it is the chip itself then you are really out of luck.
Hello,
Like others have said on this post. How did you break the power switch? If it's only the chrome plated button that fell off then simply buy another battery cover on Ebay. The real switch is actually on the phone body underneath the button, so chances are that it is still intact. Now as...
From what you have just described, it sounds like your GPS is not turning on.
GPS/Location may have found you via 3G/4G network signals but that will not get you through navigation.
As you have stated, the GPS Test shows that you have "0 sats in use and 0 sats in view". That's not good.
So if...
Does not work on Sensation 4G with ICS
I rooted my phone just for this but I am disappointed to report that it does not work on my Sensation 4G with ICS OTA.
At this time, the speaker and microphone on the phone does not work when I make a call. I am forced to use a headset.
I installed "auto...
Were you by any chance, running Google Map and Navigation when the phone shuts off?
If so this is a common problem caused by the latest update of Google Map on a "weaker" phone such as Sensation that does not have enough memory.
So far the only solution is not to run the latest version of Google...
Someone else had posted that he had to copy everything from the SD card to his PC, formatted the card and then copied everything back to the card. If that worked for him, maybe you could give this a try.
This problem may also be caused by a rogue app that you installed recently. Uninstall the apps that you do not use and see if it still reboots at random. If that still happens, uninstall all apps then install them back one by one to identify the guilty app.
Hello,
I wonder whether anyone has issues with the USB Tethering that comes standard on the Sensation with original rom. Basically what I have experienced is that if I connect my laptop via Wi-Fi Hotspot to the Sensation 3G network on T-mobile everything works fine. However if I do the same via...
PIN Lock keypad partially blocked
I have just installed the latest build on my T-mobile HD2. The icons look much smaller than in the previous build but my main problem is that the pin lock keypad is only showing the first two columns of numbers. (3, 6, 9 are not visible).
Anybody experiencing a...
Apparently this is not such an uncommon problem with the HD2. I have just arranged for my HD2 to be replaced under warranty. Mine would respond fine right after a reboot and stays fine as long as the phone is kept on. But if I turn the phone off and turn it on again there is no touch response...
It's not exactly a software bug. It is more of a hardware problem. It may have to do with the headphone that you are using. Usually with a headset, there is button to make the phone dial or hang-up. That button is missing in a regular stereo headphone. When the headphone is plugged in, it can...
Apparently it is much more difficult than that. And most of the ones for sale at Ebay are not compatible with the US version. You really need the digitizer with the LCD attached. I just had mine fixed by HTC and it is supposed to cost $120. But they have not charged my credit card yet. The price...
Getting out of boot up loop
I have had a few of these endless boot cycle incidents after installing incompatible softwares. However, I did not have to perform a hard reset since the following has always worked for me. I remove the battery, then remove the SD card, replace the battery and start...
Actually if you use the epc.tmobile.com access, you do not need to set the proxy settings since there are no port restrictions.
And it may be just an illusion but I feel that it is much faster too.
Just download Windows Mobile Device Center from Microsoft. That's the new interface software for windows mobile devices and it works flawlessly on Windows7 and the TMO Wing and does everthing that Activesync does.
Check to see if your device does the same when it is plugged in the charger. If it does not then all you need is a new battery. If it still reboots by itself even when plugged in then you need to look elsewhere.
Best of Luck
That may well be the case. The first thing to try is to plug the phone to the charger and see if the phone works properly. If it does the next thing would be to get a new battery.
I had the same problem and it was solved by installing a new battery.
Best of Luck
I believe that you are looking for Molski.Biz LVM Top Bat.

Hope this helps.
There is nothing wrong with the original rom. It works fine if the pagepool size is fixed. In fact if you update the new TMO rom, then that's basically taken care of.
It seems to me that you are experiencing the memory issues that every new T-Mobile Wing is faced with. It has to do with the default Page Pool size.
The easiest way around this problem is to do an upgrade of the new T-mobile software. You can find this at...
Before you give up. Try something first. Does the Wing have this behavior if it is plugged in to its charger. If it behaves well when plugged in, then most likely you have a bad battery.
This really gets me mad. I had a problem with my Wing back in January ( See the post at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357814 ).
I called T-mobile and was offered a replacement unit without a battery nor back cover and I had to pay the postage. After receiving the replacement...
I wonder whether anyone has had this problem before. During a phone conversation the Wing suddenly turns itself off and drops the call. Turning it back on, results in a soft reset which can freeze at the Windows logo. Then the device can only be revived by plugging it to its charger. This...
You lost me with the hard reset comment. I thought that all the installed cabs are lost during a hard reset and you are left with the original rom.
Right?
It appears that the phone's volume is set at minimum. You can only increase it while you are in an active phone call. The easiest way to do this is to dial you voicemail then adjust the volume control on the side of the handset.
This should do it.
p.s. after this adjustment you may need to turn...
Just a thought. Have you deleted your emails and cleared the temp files in your Internet Explorer?
In any case you should set it up so that these get saved on the storage card.
