Haha, that's a great question, I dunno. In the beginning (first year), it's just carelessness, in and out of an airplane all day long, in and out of my pocket, I'm not careful with it. Toward the second year I'm like, well, it if breaks... no big deal, there's a shiny new model out right now...

Downloaded and zoomed way in on a few of those pics in post #1. There is a clear mark just below the aluminum damage on the plastic case where the plastic edge is no longer sharp but dulled in that exact spot from an impact. It certainly appears that the phone actually hit something in this...

Post Nexus 6P Shipping Waiting Room

It certainly seems like the "pending" and "processing" status lines are arbitrary. I ordered a 64gb aluminum non-fi on 10/30 and as of the end of the day 11/5 it was pending. I put in another order for the same phone yesterday 11/5 around 5pm and it went almost immediately to processing, while...

    Post [Temasek][CM13/MM][6/7] - KLTE(DV-SPR-USC)

First, your question. according to the Galaxy S5 spec there is a standalone GPS receiver. This is an A-GPS, or Assisted GPS receiver. By itself the GPS could take a long to to acquire position, therefore the phone uses external data to assist in acquiring a fix. The phone will in time...

Do you mean you aren't able to restore your apps and settings using the built in Android backup/restore? That's never worked well for me either. Better off just using something like Titanium Backup (on the App store), you can backup apps and settings then restore them very quickly after a...

Post Remote Control of S5 from Computer?

Agreed, there are a ton of them. Tried about 8 of them, almost all completely fail, closest I got was one that would open a window on my PC of the phone screen, but it was all fuzzy, looked like how the cable company would scramble stations years ago. Tried a few different resolutions and...

It's actually pretty amazing that such a newly minted ROM is working so flawlessly. No issues here at all, and as an added bonus after freezing all the crud I never use (which also is causing no issues?!?) I'm averaging 50+ hours of battery life.

No mods at all, and I'm pretty sure I got it right out of the box after a full wipe and install. Nope, CWM doesn't overwrite the bootloader, that's recovery, a different thing. The Chinese bootloader stays intact, only your recovery changes to CWM. I have a China Mobile S3 i9300 in the USA, still has the WO bootloader, but I use TWRP (like CWM only I like it better)
