well according to me best recovery would be TWRP by cosmic dan and best ROM would be Liquid Remix.

Yes unless u mess up the storage partitions (I had s4 3 yrs back in which we could change our storage partition as touchwiz consumed huge partition for no reason so we had to change it for creating more space in internal but unless u have that file which stock rom doesn't consist u r goog to...
