I do not own this device but in the developer options of android 9 base lineage os there is option to hide notch. It is in the drawing section and called "display cutout". You can try and see if it is there also in android 10.

No you don't need S-OFF. You just need to unlock bootloader via HTC dev site and that's all.

If you just need to flash custom rom you don't need S-OFF. Just unlocked bootloader is enough. In fact i do not know way to S-OFF u ultra for now.

Yes you can.

If you come from stock rom you should wipe data before flashing the zip. You can do it even now from recovery and see if it will help.

My RAM consumption is around 1.9 GB so around 50% is free. Same like on stock oreo rom or even slightly better with LOS.

If you click ok directly on the twrp prompt for password you should be able to get to the menu. From there format your data and you should be able to install properly the zip files and boot the rom.

For me every version based on 6.1.021 crashes on android pie LOS rom. The already mentioned pixel 3 6.1.013 works ok.

I tried to reproduce this as i keep my phone on wifi at home and at work (most of the time) but do not see such problem. CPU usage is the same on wifi and on LTE. Check your batter ystatistics to see which application is draining your battery.

Most probably your phone was encrypted. Just click cancel and format data from wipe in recovery after that.

Currently i am using GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.2.apk and setting it to super high hdr+ settings works well. Yes it crashes occasionally but in general it works well.
