I was having the same problem a while back. Haven't tried to change with ROM Toolbox lately. I now use BuildProp Editor by the developer of ROM Toolbox. Looks the same as what you see in ROM Toolbox but the setting sticks. Get it in the Play store.

that's what I would do. Not sure if I saw you mention what bootloader you currently are running. Just make sure that you are NOT currently on MJB bootloader or you will brick your phone. The MG2 bootloader is a downgrade from MJB which will brick you.
